𝒘𝒊𝒕 & 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚.

    “so you helped potter? with the golden egg?” cho’s eyes sparkled with bewilderment and adoration. the girl sometimes failed to believe that such beautiful soul could be real. everything about cedric’s personality dazzled the ravenclaw beauty completely. how could she stop her heart from doing anything other than falling for him? “you did the right thing, ced. i am very proud of you.” 

    “i didn’t mean to make him upset. you know, your son. harry.” cho’s eyes fell instantly shut, and she bit her lower lip for a brief second before looking up to face the older woman in the eyes. “i am really sorry about that. but i guess the heart wants what it wants. even if it’s something that no longer exists.” 

     “it really sounds great, harry. magnificent even.” she lied. truth was cho did not feel like going anywhere that afternoon, let alone to hogsmeade, where she used to go with him. “but i have a lot of reading to do today, a lot to catch up on. you should go with your friends. i don’t want to rain on your parade.” 

       somehow, whenever cho was left on her own with cedric, she would always let her guard down at some point. and around him, she did so quite fearlessly, only to reveal parts of her heart and soul that nobody but the handsome hufflepuff lad was allowed to discover. cho trusted cedric, more than she did any other person, and enough to let him see who she truly was. “but don’t you think it’s a silly dream?” the tone in her voice was slightly doubtful, as she looked up for a moment, gloved fingers entwined tightly enough to make her heart skip a bit the moment cho once again realized cedric was looking at her. he was walking hand in hand with her and listening to her speak, gifting her with the most precious thing a boy with a heart of gold could ever give someone: his time and attention. 

        “my parents don’t really like the idea of me becoming a professional quidditch player. they think it would be such a waste, with grades like my own. but i don’t really want to spend the rest of my life working in an office, for the ministry of magic, or something. i love books, and i love knowledge. there’s so much beauty in that, but nothing had ever made me as happy as when i’m flying across the field…” she made a small pause, staring at her own feet for a moment, not daring to look cedric in the eyes to make such a statement. “nothing had ever made me that happy until i found out how glad i feel whenever i am with you. that’s the one thing that tops playing quidditch to me.”
