I don't know how to exactly explain my thoughts behind this. But the eyes are a dead give away. Like, thats how they look right at the moment. But the canon toons just dont pick up on it. Not immediately anyways.
I cant think of a proper reason why, but maybe I dont have to explain it.
For me it's a stylistic choice, I like to think their eyes are different to convey to people(aka the users following our blogs lmao) that these two are not the original Cosmo and shrimpo, while in lore their eyes aren't so different from the rest of the toons.
But if I were to try and explain a reason why the toons don't notice their eyes in a narrative sense then I have NO clue how to even do that-

Y'know when a guy gets a haircut or glasses, you might not realize it right away? I know it's not the same as whole different eye changes down to the whites, or in this case yellows.
But maybe if you include skins as a semi cannon, small changes like those would make more sense ?
