I wonder if feeling hopeless or wanting to be saved is something that’s always gonna linger in the background of my personal development journey. While I know that nobody can save me but me and feeling lonely is only giving energy to that feeling, I still wish I could be saved from myself, escape my mind prison. Having to exist within the parameters of my limited and perhaps dysfunctional mind feels oppressive, binding, an inescapable circumstance. I so wish life wasn’t a constant advocacy of oneself to another. I wish for someone to understand me so deeply, believe in the good in me with such conviction that I feel healed and whole. Still, at the end of the day, I know that person will have to be me… and that’s the burden I’m trying to escape in the first place.
