MotleyClan is my first clangen save (except the one I did one the web version). I’ve been wanting to make a clangen comic for a while, but just haven’t gotten around to it
So this is a blog for that! Maybe I’ll make actual comic panels for it, maybe it’ll just be me rambling about the story and the characters and sharing drawings every once in a while. We’ll see!
Just a warning, I am a teenager with a busy schedule, so if this ends up being a comic updates will be infrequent at best.

There are lots of awesome clangen blogs out there, but there are two that I got really into and they ended up being the push to actually try this out! So thank you @sporeclan and @mourningsbane for the inspiration!
Some asides:
- Because this is warrior cats, there will likely be themes of death, murder, violence, child (kit) death, all that fun stuff. I’ll tag all that with your typical trigger warnings, so as long as you have em filtered you should be good! Certain drawings will probably include blood, but again I’ll tag those. In general any sensitive topic covered will be tagged appropriately unless I make an error.
- This is my first proper clangen save, so I’m not accustomed to the settings and stuff yet. I’ll probably get the hang of it as I go, but just a warning that I may not understand some stuff properly at first! I don’t have mods or anything added either.
- I’m usually not great at sticking to randomized stuff- I’m a bit of a micromanager. While I will likely be cherry-picking some stuff, I’m going to try and actually stick to the cards the game deals me this time.
- I’m pretty out of practice with drawing cats, so they may look a tad wonky. I’m gonna try to figure out a style I can draw stuff for this in that’s a bit simpler.

Question for clangen folks- do you guys have any ideas about where your save could take place irl? Like do you have a specific country/state/province you think your clan is in?
I have a pretty good idea for mine because the camp design reminds me of somewhere, but I’m wondering if you guys have any ideas for yours
So today I’m planning to do some drawings of the kitties! I’m very excited
I’m gonna start out with the founders, BUT! There’s a couple of more recent cats that I really love the designs of and may draw as well
If I do that, I’ll have to make a poll on here- because there’s one cat who I have ALWAYS seen as a sleek short furred cat. That’s how he reads to me. Plus, all his siblings and his mom have short fur. But his game data says medium length fur.
I’m torn bc I want to stay true to the description, but idk he doesn’t read as a longer furred cat to me… if I get to drawing him today, I may sketch two quick versions and poll you guys on which one you like best

If that happens I have some simple alterations I can make, but that’s an example of a situation where some changes may happen.

Ok so trying to work out some of the timing- basically I’ve decided that the journey in this series would have to have taken far less time than the one in TNP, since one of the cats involved with the initial journey is still very young and I had to work it out so he wasn’t still a kit when the journey started…
So basically the trek would’ve taken closer to just a moon there, a moon back etc. mainly because this isn’t an area with mountains.
Meaning the chosen cats this time around didn’t have nearly as much time to bond or anything 💀
I may just change around who the prophecy cats are so that this works a little better… we’ll see

Feel free to send in asks about the plot, world, characters, whatever! I may not answer stuff that could reveal spoilers, but then again this may not end up being a full comic so who knows!

I’m not super comfortable with RP stuff, so I’d appreciate if you didn’t do that in asks. Because of this I’d also prefer asks be addressed to me, and not to the characters.
I’m not a huge fan of DMs either. I’ll probably respond if you send me one, but I’d rather stuff be sent via asks :)
I disconnected from the warriors fandom a while ago, but I was really really really into it for a long time when I was younger. My favourite series was The New Prophecy (yes, even the walking) so, to be blunt, I stole the plot.
I really loved the idea that the story was centred around- a chosen group that go on some important journey and then end up forming these incredible bonds along the way- it was just so fun and exciting
And then in the later books seeing that on a larger scale when all the clans traveled together was amazing
But I was so sad when the clans divided again once everyone got to the lake territories. I didn't want to see the little group l'd gotten so attached to be split up!
Reminiscing about that series got me thinking-what if they didn't?
What if some of the cats stuck together, and formed their own clan!
Thus MotleyClan was formed: basically just if the chosen group from TNP formed their own clan with a few other cats.
