Four years ago today I got the biggest shock of my life when I went to the doctor and was given news I could not comprehend. I told myself life was over as I knew it. But what's funny is, life actually isn't over. I have my moments, times where I ask God why me? Why must I suffer more than others? Why do I have to go through this? But through it all I have persevered through the pains, struggles, countless medications, hospital visits and more. I no longer look at this condition as a burden but more of a blessing. Some would not call it such but changing your view of something negative can somehow bring out positive. I have a new, brighter outlook on life. Although I can't change what I'm going through right now I can change how I view it and how I allow it to affect me. At 4:42 AM this morning I dropped half of my other half (I have twin sisters) off to head to South Africa for a study abroad program. I'm not gonna lie, I'm going to miss her. But I'm happy I was able to make this trip possible for her. From buying her everything that she needed to pretty much emptying out my bank account to ensure her tuition was paid for and finally to getting rid of her god forsaken iPhone 4 that was on its last leg lol 😭. Nothing makes me more proud than knowing that I'm in a position to do something so great to someone that admires me.
