awww thank you for saying so! I started this blog back in 2018 and while i’ve not been anywhere near as frequent with posting in recent years it’s very special to me. I still remember exactly where I took even the really early pics. in the front yard of the house where I rented a basement bedroom when I first moved out here, on the way to my new boyfriend’s house, in parks I explored when I was playing hooky from work, on the pier months before it collapsed and was rebuilt, in the days just before the global lockdown, in the green belt near me and my partner’s first apartment together where we walked our extremely needy puppy, and in a botanical garden nearby the house we bought after we got married. and more, of course!

i worry sometimes that what little i do manage to post these days feels stale and repetitive when you look at the big picture, especially because i’m not in the city very often these days. a lot has changed and i’ve admittedly lost the sense of novelty that spurred me to start this practice since i really built a life here, but even if it’s not the same i do still feel like taking these pictures helps me to stop and notice the beautiful place i live in.
