🍊my newest campaign is called citrus girls! 🍊

I am looking to raise funds for hard enamel + screenprinted pins! our first goal to unlock would fund Orange, followed by Lemon, Lime, and Grapefruit; I also have prints that I’m working on as well for the campaign, that I’ll be posting on my Instagram throughout (@morieclark).

sorry for the lack of posting - here’s some snapshots from my instagram (@morieclark) about what i’ve been up to this past month or so!

i sold at my various holiday shows! a big thank you to everyone who came out and supported memento cat studios at handmade toledo, craftymart, and cleveland bazaar this past holiday season. 

i completed all the merch for my kickstarter - i actually have been holding on to most of it tho, due to hearing how crazy the post office got in the christmas season! rather delayed than gone forever, especially since i have limited quantities of everything. i’ll be mailing all of it out tomorrow tho (finally), so that’s something backers can look forward to.

i got the chance to do a pet portrait for my friend and former hairdresser - she sent me this pic of the portrait with the kitty himself, and i think i did a pretty good job! 

my next enamel pin is on her way here! meet cyclopsette! i hope to have her in time for ohayocon (more on that in a sec), but im really cutting it close, haha... fingers crossed.

i’ve been wanting to do a webcomic for... years? decades? but never really felt the confidence to try to do them... and then some stuff changed around in my personal life (like leaving my day job, whoops), and i realized... well, there’s no time like the present! 

those of y’all who’ve been around for a while will recognize Lowan Quade there, from one of my LQ blogs - i’m essentially reworking his story into something independent and cool, that i can really share with everyone.

Hey everyone - it's time for a Kickstarter!!

This is technically my second KS - I ran one in 2015 for screenprinting materials. Now I'm raising funds to get my DEMON QUEEN sweatshirts printed in all their 4-color glory, so if you're interested, give my page a looksie and consider jumping in on it... I heard the rewards are wicked cool. 😈

The turnaround on this campaign is really short, as I want to try to get these before my holiday show circuit starts in November, so if youcan, please share this post as well! Every little bit helps!!

getting back into making patterns again... heres a pattern based off of tiles, and two coordinates to go w/ it! cool.

i was feeling restless tonight, so i decided to give the prompt over at Illustration Friday a try! this week’s prompt is ‘twins’, so i drew some totally normal regular twins. yup!! i think you can vote for me here, tho im not sure what liking it actually does... ah well. 

by the way, does anyone know why i can’t get my opera pink to scan in at all?? i remember it didnt work in acrylics (many many moons ago) and i love this watercolor, but my scanner has it looking like this: 

finished my piece for Montserrat's theme show this year: prehistoric! i ordered this repeat pattern in a canvas material from spoonflower, i'll be stretching it over some bars and shipping it out to massachusetts in a few weeks. 

another small watercolour+colored pencil practice, this time in trying to get better colors... the blending isnt where i’d like it to be yet, and i think maybe i can fix that by using a hotpress paper? /hmm 

a coloured pencil + watercolor piece!! i bought some prismacolors today and have basically spent my saturday afternoon seeing how i like them... so far the vote is for a yes, good, lovin’ that texture-having ability. not liking how i have to sharpen them literally every two seconds! ah well.
