i really enjoy having a small/soft waist that can give me a lot of shape, since i am a trans woman people often assume that it’s a dysphoria thing and try to tell me that many cis women don’t have small waists and that large waists are beautiful too actually, and the thing is that i 100% agree with them and the thing that they often forget is that i am a huge fashion history nerd and also butch, my fascination with me having a small waist isn’t due to dysphoria at all but actually because of 14th, 15th, 16th and 1830s fashion!

and even if i lose my small waist now that i’ll hopefully be gaining some weight i actually don’t care because i know historical tailoring and i know how to achieve the shapes i want without me having to actually be that shape or size for real

i was hanging out with a some friends yesterday and today and one of them said to me last night that ”hey Morwyn! i really appreciate your butchness right now” and that might be one of the most meaningful things anyone has ever said to me tbh

i’ve been doing lots of book keeping and other boring organisational stuff that has been getting piled up for the last year all day today and after transferring every file that was missing from our old drive to our new drive i started looking around for some steering documents and i found some meeting notes from early 2023 when we where just about starting out and hadn’t even founded the organisation yet and they are making me so emotional

we were all so hopeful and excited and full of energy to do this big thing but now everyone is so tired and bogged down with stuff, both in the organisation and in their lives and we aren’t getting to do anything that we want to, the organising! the fight!

reading these old meeting notes has really made me even more motivated to get all of this boring stuff fixed and to simplify our processes and everything so that we can really get back to doing what we wanted to do 3 years ago, ORGANISE!!!

i never even got to make a doublet to go with them, guess i’m gonna have to make a new landsknecht outfit at some point. but atm i’m very late 16th and early 17th century obsessed, so it’ll have to wait
