Speaker of the Dead

ㅤㅤㅤ𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄 , ankle rolled &. one shoe-heel broken ; both 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 as 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨. the tug of residual power , a path towards a failed summoning that felt all too familiar. a guiding force leading them slowlyㅤ—ㅤ𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘺ㅤ—ㅤback to him. the demon had been busy divulging in 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 of life , this was an unneeded break they had not foreseen.

ㅤㅤㅤ𝐕𝐔𝐋𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 beneath barely hushed language , a corner turned , 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀 falling upon the necromancerㅤ⸺ㅤemotions finally giving way to boil over. a palm reaches out , clenching &. choking 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 from the air ; a replacement for him.ㅤ❛ ❛ㅤwhy ? !ㅤ❜ ❜ㅤvoice loud &. sharp , quick steps forward , parallel from their usual slither. stopped dead on a pin when within arm’s length.

ㅤㅤㅤ𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐑 the wrath of the demon which they call upon &. he would have to endure their fast-paced speech &. talkative hands.ㅤ❛ ❛ㅤyou know itㅤ𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴ㅤwhen you 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 a summoning , right ?ㅤ❜ ❜ㅤa pause for emphasis , eyelashes blinking to a non-existent beat.ㅤ❛ ❛ㅤbecause youㅤ—ㅤyou !ㅤ—ㅤmade a mistake , 𝘮𝘳. ‘𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭’.ㅤ❜ ❜

ㅤㅤㅤ𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐒 , a groan emanating from the throat. a few deep breaths &. a roll of the eyes later , they’ve regained a semblance of composure.ㅤ❛ ❛ㅤ𝘂𝗴𝗵 !ㅤdamon ㅤ,ㅤi am not hungryㅤ, ㅤtell me this 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 a business call.ㅤ❜ ❜

He  said   he  could   only   summon  then  when  it  was  truly  needed  and   he  kept  that   until   now,  he  doesn't   understand  where  needs   comes  from,  he   doesn't   know  why   all   the   sudden     he   needs   them   at   his  side,  maybe  he  was  starting  to  grow  used   to   their   presence  even  if  it  was   just  a  matter   of   business  but   now   it   feel    different ,  he   haven't   seen   them   for   a   long   time  ,    𝖉𝖎𝖉   𝖍𝖊   𝖉𝖔   𝖘𝖔𝖒𝖊𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌   𝖜𝖗𝖔𝖓𝖌  ?       ------------------       a  silly   question   since  he   knows   the   answer  to   that,   he's   quite  aware   that   he's   the    one   always  doing  things  wrong   and  mostly    only  to  prove  a  point. 

    ❛❛    𝖜𝖍𝖞   ?      ❜❜        he  exclaimed   as   he    looked   at   them  when   they  showed  up  .      ❛❛    because    i    fucking    can  .      ❜❜        his  tone   was   full   of   anger     but  also    he    knew    doing  this   the   wrong   way   would   couse    them   pain   but   not   only   them  would  be  hurt  but  also   himself ,  after  all   he  needed   to   pay  a   price .  Icy   eyes   fixed  down  at   his    own   hands   that   were  all    black   from    all   the   residual   power  .     ❛❛     at    least    you   are   in   pain   as   well .     ❜❜    he   said    it    like   a   part   of   him  did  enjoy   getting   them  hurt ,  maybe   a      𝖕𝖚𝖓𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙    𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖞   𝖉𝖊𝖘𝖊𝖗𝖛𝖊𝖉  𝖇𝖊𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖊   𝖍𝖎𝖘   𝖊𝖞𝖊𝖘 .     ❛❛       i    should   be   the  one  asking   that    not  you.    ❜❜     he   gets   closer   and   held   them   by  their   arm  quite  tight   as    he  puts    them   up    over    their   feet .     ❛❛     .    .    .        now    care   to    explain   me   where   were   you ,      𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖐𝖞  𝖉𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓.      ❜❜
