In for Colorado Senate discussion tonight, SB17-017, allowing medical marijuana use for stress disorders (PTSD).  Currently the only conditions approved for medical marijuana in Colorado are: Cancer, Glaucoma, HIV or AIDS, Cachexia, Persistent muscle spasms, Seizures, Severe nausea and Severe pain.  PTSD is a qualifier by law in 19 of the 28 states in which medical marijuana is legal.

Second reading of this bill today in the Colorado Senate. If passed it would allow public consumption clubs in the State of Colorado. As the law currently stands, it does not allow any public consumption whatsoever, which often comes as an issue to tourists who can buy recreational cannabis but have a difficult time finding a place to consume it without breaking a law.
