New comic! Also, in case you didnât know somehowâŚthe Hearthstone Grand Tournament starts today! I was super excited when Zac wrote this one becuase I knew I would get to draw a dwarf! :D
Voidwalking {Open RP}
It wasnât long before the late hours and early morning parenting started getting to him. Â Sleep deprivation had never once been a problem before, with his relaxed work ethic and general ease at moneymaking.
Or perhaps it wasnât just sleep that Morrison needed. Itâd been three months since the book had been destroyed, and two since heâd tried renouncing his faith.Â
But it was in his blood. Hundreds of years of worship passed down through his family didnât just go away by not thinking about it, and at this moment he could feel it gnawing at him, begging him to go back to it. But could he really?
He didnât have a choice, did he? But what of his daughter? His wife? He couldnât just leave them, but he couldnât just practice like the old days right in front of them, either. Or, perhaps, he could.
Lillyâs been distant lately, anyway, Morrison assured himself. I donât think sheâd notice much if I did leave. The human looked to the upper balcony where the innâs rooms were, thinking about his child and perhaps a plan to leave Stormwind behind. Although it did seem too soon to do so, given his recent raise, he was certain thatâs what he needed to do.
At the sound of the inn door opening, his eyes snapped to it, almost paranoid. His limbs felt nervous, and his widened expression showed it- the fear and uncertainty of going back, but he went and put on a smiling face to the customer.
âY-yes? Can I assist you with something?â
Iâm doing a survey ~ please reblog if your toon is from Westfall!
"So, eh, Oro said something about you needing me?"
Seravwyn pursed his lips and internally screamed, seeing that the Draenei he had met was certainly not kidding about having a friend to send his way. The Sanâlayn was anything but impressed, recalling that the woman he had run into earlier just wanted to send this enigmatic human to him for the sake of frustrating him.
âNeed? No,â Seravwyn answered flatly, squinting slightly in annoyance. âBut please, if you came out all this way to see me, you might as well make something of it. Whatâs your name, your reason for visiting, and your relation to that Oro lass? Iâm curious yet awfully impatient so youâll have to excuse me.â
He seemed a bit miffed that Oro had sent him all this way up north for what seemed to be nothing, but the man he spoke to dressed finely enough that his outward appearance didnât make Morris think any less of him.
âOh, yes, of course. The nameâs Morrison Whitaker, traveling brew salesman and merchant. Oroeiev made it a point yo have valuable sales advice, or some sort of sale, or⌠was she lying? She most likely was lying, wasnât the scoundrel?â Morrison scoffed, setting his bags back on the cart in disappointment.
âIâve known her for quite some time now, Iâd say the better part of two years, although,â he said, noting the ears and death-like appearance. âthat probably means nothing at all to you. Sheâs a good friend, if not an untrustworthy one.â
He muttered to himself, âGods know I shouldâve listened to my gut about thisâŚâ
âShe was lying. Big time,â Seravwyn assured a bit sheepishly, feeling bad that the merchant got dragged out so far for nothing. âI was a bitter, raging alcoholic in life so I guess if I want a little stroll down memory lane then I can take a keg off your hands and get arrested for manslaughter a few hours later. Again. Sounds like a blast!â
With bizarre enthusiasm and desire for disaster, the mage let out a resonating chuckle, one that rumbled like rolling thunder and soon roared into booming laughter. âYou really went this far out to meet with some anonymous schmuck because a woman told you to?!â Seravwyn asked, feeling as though he might topple over with laughter. âYou must be the most gullible man Iâve met! Hereâs your first bit of business advice from a sleazy conman: Never take advice from a woman! Second piece of advice: Donât go on damn wild goose chases like this! Are you trying to sink your business?!â
The man cringed. He knew heâd regret listening to her. âWell, that, I can do. Depends on what you want a keg of, though,â Morris said, looking back to his stock. âSo long as Iâm not the victim to said manslaughter, Iâll sell you one.â
Morrison thought the manâs laugh was ominous, and he shivered before the elf calmed down. He answered sheepishly with a âyeah?â after Seraâs first comment. âSleazy conmanâs advice noted. Addendum: Made several thousand gold on the way up here. I do think they like my homemade brews. Although I did nearly get killed a few times, and that wasnât pleasant.â He added, muttering, âI donât want to see my mother or join an undead army anytime soon.â
He looked up. âNot that being undead is bad, or anything! I just donât think people are really... nope, I should stop talking before that manslaughter you mentioned becomes murder.â

The Golden Keg
The curly, copper-haired human wiped down the bar with a soft rag. Heâd just come back from a three-month hiatus, and everything in the Keg was dusty! Hadnât he hired that mutt to do something? Apparently not, since it had three months worth of dust!
He set to cleaning the plates and cooking up some fresh food for the few arrivals that might arrive, so he cooked himself something heâd eat just in case no one actually came. It wouldnât be much of a surprise, really. He did leave without warning, but he didnât mean to leave for so long.
Morrison saw a figure enter. He blinked. A customer! He waved and gave a hearty hello. âHello! Welcome to the Golden Keg! Donât mind Colin, over there.  What can I get you?â

The Foreteller (Open)
Morrison stood at the edge of the long-forgotten kingdom. Forgotten except for the few people who made their stay in the time swept lands. The sun was setting into what seemed like eternal Twilight.
It had only been three years. Three years since he had given in. It had been hard to relinquish his sanity, his free will, but he eventually gave in. To friends and colleagues, he had been lost for roughly this time, as well.
His eyes were a glossy black, like tumbled onyx. Thin, black tendrils had crawled up his arms in a permanent stain. Small thorns rose from his shoulders.Â
The silithid ignored him, used to his presence. This was his fifth expedition in the past year, called upon by one of the sleeping Gods. He held in his hand a thin katana, black-stained like his arms in thin, curved lines. He wore only black trousers, showing off his muscled back but thin build.
The drones of buzzing made it impossible to hear, and the sand muddled any vibrations. He stared onto the gates in silence, not being able to sense any approacher unless they were of the size of a God themselves.

"Can you tell me more about the Light miss? Everyone seems so keen on it, and expect me to know it like the back of my hand."
Cellys sighed in exasperation before she stared up from the now empty mug of ale. âI donât know what you expect me to tell you.â  She seemed to forget entirely that she had finished the drink, since she tipped it back and slammed it back onto the counter.Â
âIf I tell you about the Light youâll have all these questions. Ones that I donât particularly care for. Perhaps if I weren't stranded on thisâ where are we again? No wait, it doesn't matter.â Against the womanâs better judgement, she pulled her cowl down, the green gaze boring into the man. âFine. What is it you wish to know? Since I wonât find what Iâm looking for, you might as well.âÂ
morrisonrwhitakerÂ
Morrison took the empty mug and filled it again with her drink of choice, setting it down for her. Â He felt bad for bothering the priestess, but his curiosity gnawed at him.
Sheâs looking for something? He hadnât known, otherwise he surely wouldâve helped her. He frowned, wanting to help, but the conversation had steered towards him, so he might as well ask.
âIâm sorry if I sound stupid, miss, as I wasnât raised on the Light. I just want to know a few things. Is the Light a person? A naâaru? And why do people follow it versus more shamanistic or secular beliefs?â
âIs the Light a person? A naâaru? Cellys clutched the mug with his question. How was she going to explain this?Â
âNo. Not exactly. The Light is nothing more than a force â I suppose? It is what comes about from the evils of the world. It is their complete opposite, it is not always black and white, but forever changing. Naâaru?â She asked with an amused smile and pointed to the top of her head, âI have no horns, youâd be better off asking a Draenei about the Naâaru.âÂ
Before answering the manâs next question, Cellys took a swig from the refilled mug, âDo you not believe in the Light?â
morrisonrwhitakerÂ
He held his hands, listening politely, trying to wrap his head around it and noting to ask a draenei later about their personal Light gods.
âSo, the Light is created as a balance to evils, no matter how little, great, or grey-ish in morality?â He could understand that. Morris loosely believed in a moralistic karma, but he could at least comprehend a more tangible version.
âEh? Well, no, not really,â the barkeep sheepishly replied. âSee, my family was way out in the boonies, and my dad wasnât really the Light âtypeâ. It was all about brewing and making sure his family was safe above all else, using his own strength rather than an outside force. Everyone else just assumes I know about It and accept It.âÂ

Lydia pushed her way through the crowd of Alliance and Horde patrons, the bar was really swinging tonight. After minutes of pushing, she finally made it to the bar counter. âWhewâŚitâs so busy tonight, this is madness..â she tried to wave the bartender down.
((Song: âMadnessâ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOP26WOOMbc ))
Morris feigned being unaware. âOh, I donât know,â he said with a shrug, getting her a few more drinks. âHave you ever seen Shattrath near midnight? Wonderful, calming, place. This placeâll still be jiving, but if we make it a few meters away, we can enjoy the scenery.â
Morris shrugged. âJust something to think about. Plus, thereâs plenty of time âtill then! Make some friends, yeah? Thereâs rooms in the back if you need them. To, yâknow. Take a breather. Socializinâ is tough work.â
Lydia nodded, sipping her drink. âSounds delightful! I suppose weâll have to see how the night plays out.â she looks over the crowded in, shifting in her seat uncomfortably. âI think I might wait a bit to socialize though..need a bit more confidence.â she shook her drink lightly, chuckling.
âWell, take your time, then! Iâll supply you with all the liquid confidence you need,â he said with a smile. âAfter a few rounds you might feel a bit better, Miss Morrison.â
"I... This isn't Dalaran, is it?"
Neoâla gestured to the blood elven architecture. âSorry sir, but as you can see, youâve arrived at Silvermoon City. Welcome, but, you should probably hide if you donât want trouble with the city guards, human.â
She pulled off her cloak and tossed it over the human. âMy name is Neoâla. Pleasure to meet you. Follow me closely, the cloak will trick them enough so long as your ears are hidden.â
She guided him through a building, brushing past blue curtains, then exited out through a zig-zag pathway. Out in the open, she tugged at his arm, walking on the old amethyst ground until they reached a small house. She opened the door and ushered him in.
âNow, Iâm not too fond of making enemies, and you donât seem like the aggressive type. So, Iâll just do what I know best. Youâre the guest of honor, Iâd like to get you some stock. Silvermoon wine is a luxury, you could probably make some good dough off it, should you walk away with your head still attached.â
He held the cloak over him, making sure it didnât fall off. âThank you, Neoâla,â he said quietly, following her as she demanded. Morrison was at her mercy, after all, and he didnât want to be seen or heard by the locals.
He entered the house and noted the architecture and the knick-nacks, the stuff about and the furniture. The light sources and what was beneath his feet. It all interested him, and he made note of it, for he hadnât had much time in the city to do so.
âO-oh! Really? That... that would be quite splendid!â Morris smiled with a goofy grin. He lowered the cloak to his shoulders. âEven though my mount isnât here, I can carry whatever you would give me. ...Is gold gold here? All Iâve got is Alliance coinage. I suppose itâd be easy enough to trade it for whatever you folks have, seeing as you have goblins in more places than taverns...â

âWhat, are you not one to party? I would think a beaut like you would love to!â Morrison smirked at the Forsaken. âI donât mind,â he said, getting a drink for a draenei patron. âBusiness is booming tonight!â
âThough, Iâm free after eleven.â
âWell, itâs not that I donât like, just a pain to get to the counter I suppose! I also donât really know anyone really, I need a few drinks to loosen up and perhaps change that.â she listened to the manâs words on when his shift ended. âOh? Is that some sort of invitations or just a statement?â she sipped her drink, snickering slightly.

Morrison poured her some rum and handed it to her, putting the bottle back under the bar.Â
âNo, not really! Iâm actually bartending just because of the festivities!â He smiled at her and the rest of the tavern. âItâs something about the day Shattrath was saved by adventurers or something. Whatâre you here for, then?â
âJust passing through really.â she took a sip of her drink before looking at all the commotions. âIf I knew there was some party I might of stopped somewhere else heh, but I suppose there is a niceness to the livelyness of the place.â

Morris approached Lydia with a smile. âGood evening, miss Morrison. Madness you say? I believe I can aid you in that.â He had a white dress shirt on with a simple black tabard on- no insignias or fancy trim.
âWhat can I get for ya?â
âRum please.â Lydia pushed some of the crowd away so she had enough space at the bar counter. âDoes it usually get this busy here? This seems like kinda a small place.â
