My daily bmx session is crystalized for some months now. More than a routine, it became a constructed script of movements I have to execute from A to Z. Maybe it's a ritual, maybe a prayer.

As a psychomagic process to get out of the loop, I decided to do it one last time and film it.

5e55ion is originally a 53mn long-take, short-edited to 15mn to present its core. 5e55ion refers to "session" and the magic number 555.

short synopsis: A wobbly, strangely resolute woman brings home treats to share, both familiar and bizarre. Upstairs, an alternate version of herself eagerly awaits. Together they bust open the treats... and in so doing- bust open a creepy and luscious portal into a psychedelic world of scintillation.

In the worldwide BMX flatland scene it is common to see riders with similar styles and tricks. Every so often a trendy style will come along and result in copycat riders. Ultimately, being original or having your own style becomes one of the top priorities of most riders.

In the American scene the vast distances between riders creates a vast difference in riding styles. Being original is a goal and badge of honor for these riders. It can be an easy trap to fall for, to ride like someone else you admire. But be original. Be yourself. Don’t be a copycat. And, WATCH OUT FOR ROBOTS.
