Please don’t judge people. You don’t know what it took someone to get out of bed, look and feel as presentable as possible, and face the day. You never truly know the daily struggle of others.

I do not exist to impress the world. I exist to live my life in a way that will make me happy.

You won’t find sad people crying in public , blurting their story out over alcohol, sometimes you find them laughing around others, sometimes you will find them protecting you from their own sadness and it’s a sad fact how sometimes we have to be both brave and sad at the same time.

There is a lion in my living room. I feed it raw meat so it does not hurt me. It is a strange thing to nourish what could kill you in the hopes it does not kill you. We have lived like this, it and I, for so many years. Sometimes it feels like we have always lived like this. Sometimes I think I have always been like this.

In this life time, people appear at a precise moment in time, where they come and go as fast as the weather can change. They show up at your door like a sudden storm the weatherman couldn’t predict and you can’t help but let them in. They will leave you with the feeling of how unpredictable life is and come crashing into you like the waves on shore, maybe washing away old footprints or ruining the sandcastles you’ve made. Yet, there is something about building and rebuilding and not knowing when seasons will officially change.

“If he came back, would it change you? Change us?” “I think I’d run, not to him - but away,” I said.  "I can’t decide if it’s because I wouldn’t turn back around, or if it’s because I’m scared I may do so.“

Some day, someone is going to stumble into your life and crash into you and at first, you are going to be annoyed at the collision but when this person makes you reach for the stars and gives you the universe in the palm of your hands, you will be beyond happy that your worlds collide at all.

Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.
