A smile tugs at her lips when he asks for confirmation.
It helped her see just how genuine of a person he was, which was a real rarity these days. Usually, when people are this willingly helpful, thereâs something in it for them. Or theyâre just trying to use Daisy. Itâs hard for her to get rid of that mindset and trust people. But Daniel has proven to her that he can be trusted, that she can be vulnerable around him if she wants to be and, he wonât look down on her for it.Â
âWe alsoââ
Daisy looks down at her hands, afraid of what his reaction might be now that they werenât in dire circumstances.Â
âWe also kissed. Well, technically, I kissed you. At least the first time, the second timeâŠâ
Sheâs fighting back a smile at the memory, finally daring to make eye contact with him again.
A smile and another nod took place, pretty PLEASED to hear that he managed to help even if he didnât remember. âWell, Iâm glad it did.â He replied with a rather small but genuine smile. Sousa still didnât understand the whole time loop situation, only going off of what Daisy, Simmons, and Deke had EXPLAINED to him. Seems it was a commonly theorized thing from their time.Â
However, his attention SHIFTED to her words, her pause as if she was holding back something else. The drop of her gaze from his told him that it was something she wasnât quite comfortable with sharing, as if she was gaining the courage to say. So he waited. What she said next was completely unexpected. A kiss? THEY kissed? And he didnât remember? The look of surprise was clearly written on his face. His gaze left herâs for a moment before returning to herâs as she went ON.Â
âAnd by my luck Iâd forget due to this time loop.â A small chuckle left his lips as he shook his head. âThat must have been SOME talk we had then.â His own features shifting back to the small smile from before.Â
