More Than Nuada

~ A Luke Goss Fan Blog ~ Hello! I’m Silence Leaflin and this is my tribute to the surprisingly underrated British actor, Luke Goss. [Disclaimer: This is a fan blog, not official or affiliated with Luke Goss in any way. If for any reason anyone has a problem with this blog, please let me know and I will take it down.] Sympathetic villains and flawed heroes are his specialty. He is best known for his portrayal of Prince Nuada Silverlance in Hellboy II as it is one of his best roles, but many people don’t realize that he has done a LOT of other movies or recognize him without the makeup, and that needs to change, heh. He has played cops, inmates, hit men, spies, kings, vampires, elves, two different “Frankensteins” and yes… even the occasional alien parasite-infested detective. He often infuses his characters with a conscience, a moral compass, or at least an emotional side that I feel is sometimes lacking in the performances of other actors, especially in the action genre. As a result, his characters end up being more human, moving, and sympathetic to viewers. I call him the "king of the crestfallen look," because he has moved me to tears with it on several occasions, haha. Are you a fan of Luke Goss, too? Let’s talk!
