Why is it that employees are required to work hard, yet a portion of their earnings is automatically deducted in the form of taxes to fund government activities without their direct consent or transparent accountability, while any failure to pay results in immediate penalties? It seems as though workers have little to no control over their remuneration, as decisions are made by governments and employers without genuine input from employees. In this system, employment appears to function like a form of indirect servitude. What measures can be taken to ensure that workers have more control over their earnings and that taxation is more transparent and equitable?
