Lets Focus On The Positive

My vows to you:

Three years ago, we started our commitment to each other. And this was no small commitment! We jumped in head first with no safety rope. From that first day you stayed at my house I knew I would never let you go!

To the rest of the world, this was an average commitment.... one that people give all the time and walk away from. That was not the case for us. From that day on, We loved each other with fire and passion... We both shared stories of our past, no matter how good they were or no matter how bad they were. We learned intimately all our our wants and all of our desires... and also all of our failures and our regrets. We talked freely about loves lost and mistakes we made. By doing so we revealed our strengths and weaknesses in love and in life. We shared not only our light side, but also our dark side, and never once did we judge one another. Instead we accepted each other for all that we are, and in that first year we took our broken parts and put them together to make us whole again. In only a short time we professed our love to each other and we did it with this phrase.

“I am yours... you are mine... we are each other’s”

In December almost a year and a half ago, I asked for the life long commitment we are here for today.

And on this day I, Robert Rusk, take you to be my lawfully wedded wife and from this day forward, may the 4th be with us. No matter what path we are on be it the light or the dark, we will journey down that path together.

I vow to to you, that with all I have I will be the husband that you need. When you need help I will encourage you, when you fall, I will help you to your feet. When you can’t walk, I will carry you. When life changes and you need more or less, I will adjust. When you need different, we will change things up. When you need love, I will be there with my arms open wide, and when you need time for yourself, I will give you space.... Unless of course I know what you really need is for me to pull you closer. I vow to be the husband that you need.
