I’m far from my family, who are still trapped under siege in northern Gaza.

Every moment that passes, I don’t know if they’re still alive — whether they’re asleep in safety or buried under rubble.

The guilt is unbearable. I wish I could do more… but my heart is with them every second.

The people I love are deprived of food, clean water, electricity — and even safety.

And my only wish?

I just wish I could be with my family for one single day.

One beautiful day, free of fear and bombs… just to live with them in peace. 🕊️

We are living through unimaginable circumstances — an ongoing war, extreme poverty, and the constant absence of basic necessities.

My sick mother can no longer tolerate the smoke from burning wood for cooking or heating, but with no gas, we have no choice. That smoke is suffocating her lungs and worsening her health day by day.

The cost of a gas cylinder has reached $500 — an amount we simply cannot afford in this crisis.

I am helpless, and all I can do is appeal to your kind hearts.

Trying to help family trapped in Gaza for 10 months

Hello everyone, and hope you read my story.

I’m Mohammed Shamia, a fourth year student of laboratory medicine.

I’m trying to get funds for my family of 9 members

With the beginning of the donation campaign, I was the first individual from my family escape to Egypt after 200 days, so I could help my family to get out of Gaza.

Unfortunately, the crossing close and my family still in Gaza

My family lost everything, our house and my brother's house, we lost our happy lives

Now my family lives in difficult conditions in Gaza and fear between plastic walls that do not protect from the summer heat or the cold of winter
