& so if you’re arguing with a conservative christian, if you start arguing with them about how some policy isn’t right *on the grounds of christianity*, you are never going to win. ever. you’re just going to end up (at best) talking in circles around each other about theology, while also implicitly validating the idea that christianity is a good foundation upon which political decisions can be made.
