They free zoo animals, they conserve electricity, they can't kill things, they prefer to be vegetarians and they can't lie, they do all those things. It looks a lot like they're humane and mostly interested in maintaining an existence where they harm absolutely nothing. And stay out of the way no matter what and please everyone.

They also have everyone's memories. Would that mean at least some small part of the reason they're sucking upto the stragglers so much is because they know how much these people have suffered?

As in does the hive have any sentiments about how Carol's suffered because it has the memories of Helen, Carol's mom perhaps and the counelors at that God awful conversion camp?

Yes it's in them to people please and please everything else that exists too but that's so interesting isn't it? Makes you wonder why they are the way they are.

Was the hive engineered to be like this because some freako in some alien society got sick of all the death and destruction and decided their species needs to repent for all of eternity? And then blasted that signal into outer space so other questionable species' can also attempt to repair the damage they've caused

Or is it that there's just basic characteristics of togetherness and depending on the species it manifests into goals and characteristics. Like did the joining mean each and every person got to experience the horrors™ of being alive and collectively decide they need to put an end to it all?

If the above was true would that in huge part play into why they use the life jacket analogy and why they're so desperate to turn the stragglers into one of them and assimilate them into this fucked up entity. It's some attempt to quell the damage humanity has already done to the stragglers and lead them to a better path.

And the first thing they do is suck up to the ones who aren't part of it. Which immediately makes the entire we're all together and equal bit less valid. And overall negates one of the purposes of this joining.

No they're not all together because they fucking gathered an army of hot women for some dude to fuck and play around with because it makes him happy. They went through a dead woman's memories and located the lady who looks the most like someone's random ass hot OC and strapped her in a plane stat and assembled a team to micro engineer her appearance to Carol's liking.

There's no more equality because there are people out of this kumbaya my Lord we're all happy forever loop, and those people are the hive's priority. There is now a price being placed on the individual bodies' existence.

I mean look at the lengths the hive goes to for Zosia's body as compared to other bodies. Zosia is now a resource with momentary value more than she is a person with an intrinsic right to life (oh the fucking irony). The hive let people get mauled while trying to rescue zoo animals, they let people die in the indoctrination process and they called all that unfortunate and moved on.

Which would have been fine because hey that means any value any one individual body has is null in that situation. That the hive places emphasis on the collective and one individual dying doesn't mean much because they're already part of the whole, but not anymore. Because they need Zosia's body specificallt. They need to keep this individual body alive for the pleasure and manipulation of Carol.

Like that scene when she's pushing back Gwima and she yells? Girl don't serve so hard when you're boutta die.

It's interesting because Rumi's voice is her weapon, this we know. We know that she thinks it's her greatest asset and Zoey emphasizes on it too. "We need your voice"

Which is why her yelling is so cathartic even for the audience. Rumi's using her voice not just as a refined, polished tool but to express herself. It doesn't sound particularly cool or anything, it's raw and filled with emotion.

I know it's been a bit of a wait but hopefully the quality makes up for it

First things first the third SS member me and my mutual call her MJ aka Ma Joeun. She would have went with Joeun for her stage name but she's a Spiderman fan and decided MJ would be a cool stage name (it is, she rocks).

They were insanely chaotic, one of the first ideas that me and my mutual came up with for SS HCs was that they've trashed a lot of public property while hunting.

For example, SS has crashed a fishing boat into a coast guard vessel and got on the front page of a lot of newspapers because of the utter chaos. Miyeong tried to communicate with a seagull, MJ tried to catch a fish with her bare hands and Celine screamed about her hair being ruined as the other two put a life jacket on her and pushed her into the water. All three of them also screamed about recreating the titanic crash (this was before the movie came out so no jack and rose recreations).

Celine was probably the Raquelle cool girl type and got stuck with the weirdest people on the planet. Miyeong is a freak (canon monsterfucker guys don't be shy make her weird) and MJ is a spiderman fan with a mahjong addiction you can imagine what these three were like.

The other two had no fashion sense and Celine lost braincells each time she tried to explain stuff to them. Their mentors were constantly on their asses about faults and fears but back then they were carefree and stupid asf.

Celine's the oldest but the other two have zero respect for her in that regard. Like they do not care at all, their age difference isn't too big either so they were a merry band of friends for the most part. MJ and Miyeong constantly teased and ragebaited Celine about her american-ness. Celine simply had to deal with it, because if she reacted they doubled down.

You got polytrix and you also got poly SS. Hear me out but wouldn't it be so much fun if they were dating too? Like maybe it was an open relationship and that's why Miyeong had no problem dating another guy (girl's pulling left and right and you gotta hand it to her she has a type).

Celine and MJ were more annoyed by this Saja weirdo than anything. They knew Miyeong gave like zero fucks in terms of listening to the older generation but this was lowkey insane.

They let Zoey sleep on their lap before performances because she's always the last to go into hair and makeup. Mira and Rumi can manage themselves but Zoey? She's always forgetting something, she's chaos personified.

Zoey accidentally wanders away and then gets lost, has an adventure and calls them up like "Hey guys I think I accidentally joined a biker gang" They rush to get her back and clear up any misunderstandings.

The staff are all on standby to listen to Zoey talk about turtles. She's that one child in kindergarten who cannot leave the teacher alone. Rumi and Mira usually follow instructions without too much question but not Zoey, she has two hundred and most of them are random. But that's the job description.

They don't even question all the insanity anymore. Zoey's just Zoey, they're all used to it. The hair and makeup follow her around patiently as she yaps to the girls and doesn't stand still. The sound people let her make weird noises into the mic to test it. The costume people gently refuse her trying to wear a tellytubbies suit for a performance.

They're always carrying around snacks for Zoey and they have toys and gadets on standby for when she gets bored. One of the PAs is literally just there to provide Zoey with ample paper and pencil and materials so she can jot down ideas on the fly.

Zoey often cheats during games and runs away from the staff and overall causes insane amounts of chaos but she's nice so they excuse it.

Zoey buys them stuff when she goes on vacation, pays for meals, remembers things they've said and asks after their family and friends. She knows everyone by name and always thanks them for their work and compliments them. How can they deny such a sweetheart?

Literally all of them defend her if she's called into question or if netizens are being mean. All of huntrix is really well-mannered for super successful kpop idols but Zoey is like their princess, she never slacks, she always goes the extra mile.

Zoey probably had a Taehyun like moment where she accidentally fell onto a pool floatie fully clothed and a staff member and Rumi pulled her up by her belt and set her down like she was a stray kitten.

They're all arrogant, they're all kind of losers but still hot.

Zoey got that american swagger. Mira got that rich sapphic energy. Rumi has that gym rat vibe.

These girls totally flirt with fans and love making them blush. They're like if teenage girls finally got over the societal expectation that they have to be pretty and perfect and went straight into being the most attractive aura farming mfs around.

Rumi stretching before the fanmeet, Mira walking with her arms in her pockets, Zoey rapping like Eminem if he did aegyo. It's there guys.

And it suits them. It makes them more real and likeable. They're kinda cringe, they're very goofy and weird and that's what makes them huntrix.
