Remus Lupin

“Oh no this is dangerous.” she joked grinning at him. “That’s terrifying especially cause your kids are going to drag mine into it.” she said grinning. “I hope Minette will be just as good as Vega.” she said smiling a bit. “Oh I know you will. Uncle Remus will be more popular than mummy.” she joked. “Nope.  You get what you get.” she said teasingly. “Look it’s cute and sweet and I love it but I also want to spoil him Remus.” she said blushing a bit.

She raised her eyebrow. “That what do we call any deviance I got up to with you. Cult by association.” she teased playfully. “You know Sirius and James won’t allow that.” she joked knowing the two men were going to be teaching their children all their wicked ways. “See you have loads of practice over me. Both with your boys and with Vega.” she told him. “”I’ll spoil your children rotten. You best believe.” she joked. “We’ll see how that goes. Honestly it’s going to be the fair that makes out betwewen the two of us.” she joked. “Because I chose the one with golden retriever energy and you chose the one with labrador retriever energy.” she joked. “It so was but he really didn’t need to. I don’t ever get to cook for anyone!”

“Remus! I’m shocked.” she said though she in no way was. Sirius and James were devious geniuses but she knew her best friend very well. She knew he was just as devious. He just knew how to stay lowkey. “I mean I can’t guarentee anything. My little one is going to be spending the majority of their time probably with their god fathers.” she said. She hadn’t mentioned it before but it had been a plan since she found out about Sirius that as much as she loved Lily her childrens godparents were going to be Remus and Sirius. It made things better in her mind especially with a war that if they were the ones to take in her child if she had one that there wouldn’t be confusion of who would take care of them. It would be the people from the same house. “You are way too sweet.” she teased. “Our aunty Violet.” she said grinning. “Sure I am.” she said with a nod.. She giggled a bit. “He was trying to impress me by pretending to cook for a while and when I caught him coming in with pastries from a bakery we had a discussion and I guess he confessed.” she said shyly.

“I mean hopefully you will balance your child out. Merlin knows that woman deserved to crack under your friend group.” she teased grinning. “Maybe I’ll try having a child at the same time. Smooth the waters over for her.” she said grinning. “Was that you. I hope my children don’t pretend for my sake. If they figure it out I want to move on and find another fun tradition for them.” she said softly. “You can’t even do that now. I’m not letting you beat me.” she said shoving him playfully. She blushed brightly. “Okay no. I wasn’t….okay don’t make fun of me but I wasn’t ready and I just…I want more time with him romantically before we jump into the more physical aspect. But he is a very good kisser.” she said unable to look at him.

“Mcgonagall will be so pleased.” she said giggling. “I wonder though if they’ll believe us when it comes to Santa. Either way we’ll have fun with them.  I only want to give my children good childhoods.” she said softly knowing her and Reg and Remus and Sirius really didn’t have the best childhoods. “I’m sure you had fun though.” she teased playfully nudging him. She bit her lip as he asked. “He um…maybe you were right.” she said shyly. She was still nervous to tell anyone like it would disapate as if a dream if she did.

“I mean even if it doesn’t we don’t have to do that to our children. Aren’t there also letters to write to Santa. I think that’s a better alternative.” she said with a small smile thinking of two little dark haired children together playing in the snow with christmas jumpers on or writing letters to Santa and she tried to push it away. It was not something she really was ready to think about but for the first time really she was thinking of her future and that was weird. “It’s going to be. And you are much smarter than I am. I didn’t even think about that.” she said laughing lightly.

“Not all religious people are like that. My parents just were.” she joked. “From what I heard I doubt if your mother participated in religion she’d be like that.” she said to him “After Hogwarts Christmas got better.” she told him. She couldn’t help but laugh. “Maybe we need some way to carry all of that.” she said to him.

“My parents decided that religious trauma was better than Santa. Jesus was born on this day and we worship him and if we don’t we go to hell because he’s the reason we were saved or some bullshit. I don’t know. At least I wasn’t subjected to sitting on some old dude’s lap.” She smiled a bit as she rolled her eyes. “We’ll see who the loser is. But I definitely want to win at least one plushy.”

“Okay yeah no we’re not going to sit on his lap. Honestly kind of creepy.” she agreed with him before putting her arm through his. “Let’s check but I think games will be a good starter.” she said brightly leaning her head on his shoulder.

Remus only had enough time to press a kiss to Sirius’s cheek before Lily pulled him away completely from his fiancé. “ Honestly Lily when I married Sirius and you married James, you and Sirius will have to be in the same room for a long time, maybe it is time to became friends.” He teased, looping his arm with hers. “ Anyways I need food, and lots of it. What are you in the mood for first?

“ Sirius will you slow down. I swear you are more excited than any child that is here.” He laughed running after his fiancé. “ I promise the rides won’t go anywhere if you are a few minutes late. It isn’t my fault you want to press me up against a building before buying tickets.” He grinned grabbing his hand.

Remus: I would love a child, but not during the war.

“But it’s my problem. Not yours.” she whispered. “I know you want me to be safe. I just….I’ve never been the one to be safe.” she said playing with  her sleeves. “I stand by that choice. It was the best choice I’ve ever made.” she told him softly taking the chocolate shyly. “Oh my god. Remus.” she said a blush lighting her face up. “I’ve kissed him when he was drunk so it’s more like I smelled it while you’ve had the full pot and gone back for seconds.
