I'm very new to writing so here's a list of stuff I don't want to write/I'm uncomfortable with
Omega type stuff
Any ghoap stuff/ other ships
Incest (actual incest)
Rape
If I think of anything else I'll add it
I also don't have a master list yet I'll learn how to make one, all 18+ please. Please do not steal my stuff, do not copy my stuff. You can take inspiration but just do not steal. I also will not go into politics/ religious beliefs or anything close to that, I'm a writing page not a debate page. I'll ignore any comments about religion/ politics. I'm not being rude but I genuinely could care less about the government tbh. If I'm gonna die anyways it's definitely not gonna be worrying about whatever's going on in those buildings.

I'm actually so pissed, I had over a 3k word story for an upcoming maybe if you guys are lucky small series and I got off the app for a second to look something up and the whole story got deleted even after I saved it.
TW: angst, sadness, mentions of abuse, protective Simon and Johnny, grief, overworking! Reader, fat bald guy that's mean, intense mother in law.
Word count: 2.2k
The day that Simon left was heavy, your heart hurt and ached hoping that the same car he drove away in would magically turn around and come back.. but it never did. You didn't know how long he would be gone, could be days, months, years or even decades.
He had gotten into an argument with you over him wanting to join the military. It didn't end well, both of you went to bed mad at one another, woke up in the same bed but never quite like before when you cuddled each morning. The house didn't smell like breakfast that he would make you each morning. But instead it was cold, quiet and the clouds outside were gloomy. The type you'd see in the sad part of a romcom. There was a heavy tension in the air between you two as you ate the cold stale cereal. You sat across from him at the dining table. But neither of you dared to say a word. He didn't glance at you and tell you how gorgeous you looked like he always did, but instead grabbed his phone and started scrolling. He started typing a little bit but you didn't think much of it. Thought that it was Johnny wanting to hang out at the pub later since it was Saturday and that was their tradition.
But no, Simon had messaged price, telling him that he was in on wanting to be recruited, he said that he didn't mind the consequences that came with that type of job. He did it out of spite from the argument the night before. You oh so desperately hoped that the day would get better as it went by, but it never did. Simon was more distant, hiding his phone, and taking longer smoke breaks in the back yard because you didn't like the smell of the smoke in the house. Your mind jumped and raced to conclusions of if he was cheating, who was he so focused on texting? Did it hurt that he avoided you all day, of course it did but you didn't mean to make him that upset. You only wanted to talk some sense into him and warn him about how dangerous it is in that type of job. You were so focused on that he wouldn't come back and not how quickly he would be to leave.
But sure enough that evening you walked into his and yours shared room to see him packing. "What are you doing?" You asked confused. He paused but didn't look up, his hand lightly shook as he stuffed another shirt into the duffle bag he had always used for vacation trips. "Packing" he responded coldly. "Packing for what?" Concern filled your voice. "I have to meet up with someone. Got somewhere to be." "Where, are you cheating on me Simon?" You accused, suddenly there was a lump in your throat. "Not fucking cheating on ya bird, gotta meet up with Johnny" he lied, knowing damn well he was meeting up with his now captain. "You're packing to meet up with Johnny? When the hell did this happen? You never pa-" "drop it" he says coldly cutting you off. You scoff and shake your head, he's never talked like this after any argument, you two always made up before it could go this far.
Another argument happened and before you knew it he was heading out the door, you both were fuming, but guilt crept in as you seen him get into his car and leave. You stood in the driveway barefoot as the cold bitter air nipped you're legs. Seeing his car drive away so fast made you want to call him and ask him to turn around to come back, that way you could make up and everything would be fine again.
You're now husband, Paul, snapped you out of your thoughts as you skimmed down the isles at the grocery store. He was piling things into the cart that you didn't need and quite frankly didn't have the money for. He wasn't a bad husband but he definitely could do a lot more than he does. You work overtime at your job while he lounges at home with beer and the tv up as loud as possible always saying that 'hes looking for jobs but can't find the right one' he told you that 3 months ago and still no job.
He would always get upset if you made dinner wrong, always threw a tantrum if he didn't get what he wanted half the time. You are married to a man child. Constantly pulling you in every different direction. But he definitely gets it from his mother. Mary, is a living nightmare, loud and obnoxious, always intimidating and has never once said no to her son. Even at his grown age she still treats him like he's in diapers. If you cooked dinner wrong that night, he's calling her and she's coming over to cook dinner and lecture you about how he needs the best food you can find in the market.
Both of them make a killer team to get whatever they want, making up stories on the spot while the other one goes with it instantly. Mary always rambles on about how you work too much, but when you take a week off she's scolding you about the bills needing paid because her son can't spend the money he uses for games or gambling on it. She always says that it's not her house she never needs to help with the bills, but she stays weeks at a time because she thinks that you don't treat your husband right.
After shopping and paying you were heading out to your beat up car that struggles on a daily basis when you hear someone calling to you. You turn around and look, so does you're husband. 6 years later a tower of a man in dark clothing, and a mask comes up to you. Thinking your life is about to be obliterated by a robber you panic and speed up your pace.
"ma'am, ma'am I think you dropped this." He holds up your phone you accidentally dropped on your way out. His voice is deep and cold but catches up to you immediately. You turn to look and see who it is and his body goes rigid. A few minutes later a voice comes from behind him "Simon mate slow the fuck down" Johnny huffs from behind him.
As soon as you see Johnny you tense, eyes widening in disbelief as the man with a short Mohawk comes into view, that Scottish accent that you know all too well. The blue eyes that you used to be best friends with. "Johnny.." you finally spoke cutting through the small bit of tension. "Lass..?" His Scottish accent is heavy but he sounds surprised. You're husband speaks up already getting defensive "honey who the hell are these guys?" "They're old friends, uhm how about you go wait in the car?" You ask your husband, he nods reluctantly and goes to the car.
Johnny is the first to speak up. "Bit of a downgrade eh?" Simon still doesn't speak but instead just stares. "That's rude John-" Simon cuts you off "the hell you doing with a fat bastard like him?" Johnny snorts at Simons remark. You choose to ignore his comment. "You left so you can't say anything about who I married" your tone is sharp. "Sure I can, ye' could've done better than a bastard like 'im" Simon says coldly, not to make fun of you, but genuinely confused on why you'd pick a guy like Paul. Johnny adds on "looks like he's unemployed"
Before you can speak up your husband comes over and is fuming, haven heard what they said about him, "oi asshole shut up before I knock ye loose" Paul comes barging over, he's ready to fight but not for you. He could care less about your feelings. He's ready to fight because he got his feelings hurt. Johnny steps forward first, "ye don't wanna start this mate." But Simon doesn't back down "yeh heard me, this lass is way out of yer league. Don't deserve 'er" he spits coldly, meaning every single word.
"the hell I don't that's my wife, she's loyal to me. She don't need your bum asses. You're old friends, not recent or new, you have no part in talking to her whatsoever." Paul's voice gets louder and he starts to raise his fists clearly challenging Simon and Johnny. "Luv do ye want him? Truly?" Simon asks clearly sensing something is off with him. Paul shoots you a harsh look that speaks for itself, the type of "if you choose wrong you're in trouble when we get home" type of look.
Your mouth falls open but nothing comes out, Simon can see you're hesitant. Clearly you're too good for a man like him right? Simon nods "do yeh treat 'er right?" Paul instantly gets defensive. "The fuck you think I don't? The bitch is loyal to me, now get going." People have now started to crowd around slightly due to Paul's obnoxious mouth. Johnny and Simon instantly step forward "the fuck who do yeh think yer callin' a bitch" Johnny says clearly getting his buttons pressed. Simons temper isn't far behind Johnny's.
Simon looks at you, silently making sure you're ok. Until a grunt flies through the air, his eyes snap over, Paul has punched Johnny. Simon's patience had snapped right at that moment, immediately lunging forward to restrain Paul. You try to pull them off of each other but Paul's elbow comes flying into your nose by accident, you stumble back a little and feel a small drop of blood leak onto your lip. The metallic taste is hard to miss once it's infected the taste buds.
The men continued fighting and soon enough some people from across the parking lot had called security. Two security guards take over and push Simon and Johnny off Paul. However Paul lays on the ground like a blobfish. Complaining and wailing but in the end after he gets checked on by security he's fine. Just a very dramatic bald man who lost to a fight badly. Paul eventually gets up and spits on Simon's shoe and grabs your arm roughly. Practically dragging you to the car, huffing and puffing about how he would kill Simon in a heartbeat.
You push away from Paul and tell him to drive home himself that you had some things to take care of but he didn't listen, started yelling at you then and there in that parking lot. Making you feel stupid and pathetic for even trying to disobey him. You show that you aren't giving up and continuing looking between him and the car. He scoffs but gets in the driver's seat telling you that he's gonna teach you a big lesson when you get to the house. He backs out of the parking space recklessly, almost hitting you and a few other people but he doesn't even bother to look back. Driving off while flipping you off out the window.
Johnny's voice cuts through the silence. "Lass yeh shouldn't go home with 'im, he looks dangerous." Johnny says genuinely concerned. Simon goes to open his mouth and agree but you cut him off "you had no right to lunge at my husband like that, or disrespect him. Just because you chose to leave doesn't give you the right to come back into my life like nothing happened. You have one big nerve to even come up to me and have the audacity to talk to me." Simon's eyes show visible shock that you are on his side.
"love it's not like t-" "not like what? Not like you ran off like a pussy after a small argument with me 6 years ago and you come back expecting everything to be fine and dandy. Wake up it's not that simple Simon. You broke me, you hurt my feelings and even worse you didn't even say goodbye or I love you." Your voice is harsh and tight, meaning every single word you said as you see Simon's face drop in realization. "I-i didn't k-" "didn't know my ass. I call bullshit. You left, you left knowing that it was going to hurt me but you never turned that car around, never bothered to message or call. Shut up with the lies Simon. We're not 20 anymore hopelessly in love. I have a husband, my life continued after you left. So don't give me that bullshit."
As you turn around to leave and head home while calling a cab, Simon and Johnny's mouth are slightly agape in shock. Simon wants to speak, to apologize for everything that he's done, but he knows he already lost that. He knows you're right. He should have called or messaged but he left instead. He should have turned around but he kept driving instead. Every day on that base and in the field he acted like you didn't exist. He isolated himself and forced himself to believe that you were happy, that you have a family and didn't need him. But he was wrong. You are miserable, exhausted. But you built your walls too high and he's not able to jump over them like he could before.
