Phos has sacrificed so much and, despite their shortcomings, has always focused on the greater good, on finding the answer to stop the war, and I frankly cannot blame them for their anger right now. In everything they’ve tried to do, they’ve failed spectacularly, because no one else alive and conscious right now truly cares for them.

But really, Cinnabar’s happiness feels earned off of the back of Phos. Had Phos not made the actions they made, would Cinnabar still be sitting in a cave as centuries passed them by? Would anyone else have made the effort to solve the problem, or would they have just sad idly by and wait for a solution to come to them, like with literally everything else?

The characters’ treatment of Phos, from their scrappy beginnings until now, has been frankly disgusting; they only had worth once they were powerful, and once they tried to get the bigger picture, suddenly they were worth breaking into fragments and burying everywhere. The people who listened abandoned Phos quickly for moon activities, and the people who didn’t were happy to just break them with a hammer until they shut up.

Like I get Phos requested not to be rescued by the Lunarians, but had it not been for Kongou, Phos would have just stayed in the dirt for all eternity. Hardly feels fair when they’ve done so much…
