I think I may have wasted 4hrs 30mins of my life. 😮💨 Why? You may ask.
On Wednesday, I received a comment on my post looking to dm me about a commission. At first, I was hesitant because it wasn't really my style, but they reassured me that they looked at my page and liked my art.
Still, I tried to redirect them, but they sent a photo of what they wanted done anyway and asked for a price.
I decided to do it and looked up other people's commission prices to get a feel and charged much less to be fair.
I spent 4hrs 30mins drawing a piece for this woman and then asked for payment on Thursday.
(Probs my mistake of not taking the money first, but we learn)
I sent the link to pay through revolut and she asked to use 2 different apps instead that I don't have - Cash app and PayPal. I explained this and said she could still pay me using PayPal through revolut and sent another link.
I then proceed to get ignored.....and ignored.....and ignored....
Mind you, Tumblr shows she's online. I waited till today, Saturday night, but still no replies to my messages. I even said that it's ok if she doesn't want it anymore, but if she could just let me know.
Kinda bummed out now. I was really excited to do a commission, and now I can't even post the art because it's of her child.
Now I'm thinking perhaps it was a scammer? I'm not sure.
I kept screenshots to remember this user if they ask again in the future.
Thanks for listening, guys. I was so strung up on this the past few days, but I think it's time to give up and draw new art because clearly nothings amounting from this commission.
