Help Princess Glitter Sparkles Shine Again!!! - Baltimore, MD
Princess Glitter Sparkles: unaltered female, 3yo, 4.8lbs
Princess Glitter Sparkles came to the shelter as a stray on 6/6 carrying a heavy burden beneath her fabulous name, severe matting that had clearly been causing her discomfort.
Staff were able to remove a significant amount of the matting from her neck and trunk, but the grooming process became too stressful for her to safely continue. Once some of the mats were removed, a soft mass approximately 1 inch in diameter was discovered on her lower chest. It may be related to irritation from the matting, but it will need further evaluation.
Princess Glitter Sparkles is still in need of a complete shave-down once she is feeling calmer and more comfortable. She would greatly benefit from rescue placement where she can decompress, receive continued grooming and medical care, and finally enjoy the comfort she deserves.
If your rescue can help Princess Glitter Sparkles continue her journey toward recovery, please reach out.
Full medical summary can be provided upon request.
Please let us know if your organization can help!

Transform Tony's Fear into Confidence!! - Baltimore, MD
Tony Baloney: unaltered male, 1y6m, 19.4lbs
Tony Baloney came to the shelter on 6/4 as part of an animal control violation. Since arriving, he has shown that he is a very worried little dog who is struggling to adjust to the shelter environment.
When approached in his kennel, Tony may bark, growl, and retreat, particularly around other dogs. His reactions appear to be rooted in fear rather than aggression. He is uncomfortable with handling and unfamiliar situations, often avoiding contact, hesitating to move through doorways, and becoming overwhelmed by leash pressure. Despite his fear, Tony has remained tolerant of slow, gentle handling and allowed staff to complete his examination when given patience and a calm approach.
During his veterinary exam, Tony was understandably nervous and spent much of his time frozen and cautiously observing his surroundings. Once covered with a blanket and handled gently, he tolerated his exam without issue. Staff were also able to safely pick him up and return him to his kennel.
Tony would greatly benefit from a rescue partner willing to give him the time, patience, and decompression he needs to feel safe. A quieter environment away from the stress of the shelter could help this frightened boy begin to build confidence and show his true personality.
Tony appears healthy at this time and a full medical summary can be provided upon request.

Adoptable 1 year old SARGE is looking to light up your home!!
Surge is now Sarge and is in rescue awaiting adoption! If you have the room in your home and heart for this sweet puppers, please email [email protected]
Surge formerly A58290830 @ FWACC in Texas is now safe with us. We have renamed him Sarge!
PREVIOUS PLEA FROM SHELTER: Surge is just 1 year old and URGENT. (rescue literally pulled him right before euthanasia)
He’s been really stressed in the kennel and cries because the shelter environment is too overwhelming for him. Despite that, he’s a good boy who knows basic commands and does well with other dogs. Outside of the shelter, he would likely relax and thrive in a home where he can feel safe and understood. He just needs someone to give him that chance.
Fort Worth Animal Care & Control Surge 58290830 Siberian Husky 1 year old neutered male, 72 lbs Intake: 4/12/26, owner surrender, hw+ (the shelter will treat for free) Last call: While Surge remains social and attention seeking outside in play yards with staff and volunteers, he has recently begun displaying a higher level of stress in kennel. He is often observed to bark, spin, whine, pace and pant - unable to readily settle. This pet is available for: Adoption, Rescue, Foster
I have lived and gotten along with: Dogs and children (ages from 12-16 years old), I am friendly towards: Children, visitors, strangers and familiar dogs I have no experience with: Cats Some commands I know are: Sit and come when called. Reason for surrender: Pet escapes Owner note: Very playful, needs lots of space to run, very active.
If you want to inquire about Sarge, please email [email protected]

Silo(Milo): altered male, 5yo, 65.6lbs
Silo came to the shelter as an owner surrender after being left behind when his owner entered a treatment facility and was unable to reclaim him. Now, this happy, food-loving boy is looking for a rescue partner to help him move on to a more stable future.
Silo is an enjoyable companion who genuinely seems to appreciate life's simple pleasures. He loves getting out for walks, spending much of his time happily sniffing and investigating the world around him. While he is a strong dog and can pull when something especially exciting catches his attention, he is generally polite on leash and has done well passing other dogs during outings.
One of the first things people notice about Silo is his cheerful personality. His tail wags throughout his walks, and he always seems ready to flash a smile in exchange for a treat. He appears highly food motivated and already knows "sit", often offering the behavior on his own in hopes of earning a snack. He enjoys affection from his handlers and has proven easy to return to his kennel after outings.
While he is friendly and manageable when out with handlers, he has displayed defensive behaviors when confined in his kennel, including barking, lunging, biting at the kennel bars, and lip lifting toward people passing by.
During his dog assessment, Silo appeared conflicted and somewhat unsure in his interactions. He displayed signs of stress and arousal, including raised hackles, a high tail, lip licking, and periods of frantic movement. While he engaged in some social behaviors, including play bows and moments of softer interaction, much of his behavior suggested a dog who was processing a lot of information and not entirely comfortable in the situation. Additional support and careful introductions may help him build confidence and navigate social interactions more successfully.
Despite the stress he is experiencing in the shelter, Silo continues to show many positive qualities: he is food motivated, responsive to people, enjoys affection, and loves exploring the world around him. With time to decompress and a more predictable environment, he may be able to show more of the easygoing dog volunteers enjoy spending time with.
The owner reported a possible chicken allergy. Silo otherwise appears healthy.

Just found my grandfather's card for his polio vaccination. My grandfather was vaccinated with this lifesaving triumph while RFK Jr's uncle was in the WH, the current HHS Secretary is an embarrassment to our medical community and a detriment to our wellbeing.
