Meet Hedy Don't let her age fool you, Hedy still has plenty of determination packed into her tiny frame. This sweet senior girl loves treats, good meals, cozy naps, and being pampered with gentle rubs and attention.

Hedy is mostly house trained and will sit by the door when she needs to go outside. Due to weakness in her rear legs, she occasionally needs a little extra help getting out quickly. She's learned to hop up a few stairs like a bunny and works hard to stay mobile, preferring to walk whenever she can, though she will occasionally scoot when needed.

Hedy enjoys the company of other dogs, pays little attention to cats, and is perfectly content spending her day snoozing in a comfy bed. She's independent enough to relax while you're away and happily welcomes you home when it's time for cuddles and snacks.

Her foster mom has thoughtfully created a cozy setup to keep her comfortable, and Hedy has settled beautifully into her routine. She's a gentle, resilient little soul who simply wants a soft place to rest, a loving hand to pet her, and someone to share her golden years with.

Summer is quiet, affectionate, food motivated, and eager to please. While she isn’t interested in toys or rough play, she loves companionship, routine, and having a comfy place to relax nearby.

Summer has done well meeting people and has been calm and respectful around other medium-to-large dogs. She may do well with respectful, dog-savvy children. Because she has a prey drive for squirrels and rabbits, she should not live with cats or small animals.

This sweet senior lives happily with three other dogs his size or smaller and does well with proper introductions. While he’ll engage in a little play, Dink’s true passions are lounging, soaking up attention, and giving you that look while you’re eating just in case you feel generous.

He’s crate trained, though he’d much rather be near his people if they’re home (who can blame him?). He settles down with time. He’s done well with older kids, has been wonderful at holiday family gatherings, and enjoys car rides and outings where he can strut his stuff and collect pets from admirers.

Dink is on lifelong medication that he’s doing great on. Because of it, he drinks more water and will need frequent potty breaks. With a consistent routine, he does very well.

Jelani is the kind of dog who wears his age like a well-earned medal calm, quiet, and completely content with the simple joys in life. This sweet senior boy may be 16, but he’s got pep in his step and a heart full of love to give.

After arriving from the shelter in rough shape, Jelani has blossomed in foster care. Once emaciated, he's now looking healthy and happy and he lives for mealtime and treats! Despite his age, he walks well on leash (though he does a little circling now and then), and he loves his long strolls around the lake. He’s never had an accident in the house and doesn’t seem to experience any separation anxiety, just naps peacefully until his people return.

Jelani doesn’t bark or whine, in fact, we’re not even sure he can! He’s indifferent to other dogs, shows no reactivity, and doesn’t seem to mind being on his own. He hasn’t been around cats or children in his foster home, but given his quiet demeanor, we think a calm home would suit him best.

He’s had a full veterinary workup, including vaccines, heartworm testing (he’s negative), preventatives, neuter, and grooming. He does have a 4/5 heart murmur, but he shows no symptoms like coughing or panting, and keeps up beautifully on walks.
