But then if you bring up other indigenous groups like Native Americans they don't think it's justified for them to be violent against the white colonisers in America? Because they've been there for so long already, they don't have ties to any other land.

And I agree with the statement that landback shouldn't include violence. And I'm not claiming the Zionist movement was free of it. But don't ignore the attempts at peace and coexistence that happened and still happen. The efforts on both sides to coexist. Not just by the government but by the people.

But antisemitism doesn't exist

Firstly, because there will always be bad people in any culture. There is no singular race, religion, ethnicity, other identity, etc which only has 100% good people.

Secondly and more importantly, it's treating the ability to exist with your cultural identity visible as a reward and the removal of it as punishment. I don't think cultural identity should be treated as a reward or punishment, people should just be allowed to have and express it.

You can believe every life is precious.

You can be furious that Charlie Kirk treated school shootings like culture war fodder.

You can abhor political violence.

There's nothing to reconcile between these three positions because empathy for Kirk isn't the moral litmus test.

The question isn't whether or not he deserves your sympathy. It's whether the use of violence as a tool of political expression or punishment is acceptable to you.

If you find it acceptable when wielded against against Charlie Kirk, you're also making room for more like the attack on Paul Pelosi, the shooting of Steve Scalise, the murder of Melissa Hortman, and the shooting of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim.

You don't have to mourn Charlie Kirk to be morally consistent, but I do believe you do have to condemn how he died.

Yes, that's true, the Palestinians were offered a state many times. Here are just some of them.

1937 - Peel Commission Proposal

Context: British plan during the Mandate period.

Offer: First-ever partition proposal. Would have created a small Jewish state (17%) and a larger Arab state, with population transfers.

Palestinian Response: Rejected. Palestinian Arab leadership (under Haj Amin al-Husseini) opposed partition outright.

Jewish Response: Zionist leaders accepted it in principle as a basis for negotiation.

1947 - UN Partition Plan (Resolution 181)

Context: End of British rule. Plan to divide Palestine into Arab and Jewish states.

Offer: Roughly 55% of land for a Jewish state, 45% for an Arab state. Jerusalem internationalized.

Jewish Response: Accepted

Palestinian/Arab Response: Rejected. Palestinian Arab leaders and surrounding Arab states launched a war on Israel.

2000 - Camp David Summit

Why did Palestinian leaders turn each of these down?

Because every single offer, from 1937 to 2008, had one condition they couldn't accept: that Israel would still exist.

They could have had borders. They could have had a capital in East Jerusalem. They could have joined the UN, flown their flag, signed their treaties, and printed their passports.

But the price was always the same. They had to say yes to a future where Israel didn't go away.

The offers weren't rejected because of settlements, checkpoints, or disagreements over how maps were drawn.

And like. Forget the ingrained antisemitism that makes them see Jews as colonizers in the first place, for a second. Forget the context of pervasive hatred that’s existed against Jews for thousands of years and has largely defined the most powerful cultures in the world. Forget that they’re blatantly siding with a genocidal extremist group who’s made clear time and time again that their main target is Jews (and also every other minority culture/ethnicity in the Levant). Just forget all of that. Because even if most Israelis weren’t Jewish (and over 20% of Israelis aren’t), even if all of this actually was happening in an alternate universe where antisemitism never existed, that still wouldn’t make the way these people talk about them okay. It would still be utterly disturbing to see such a level of moral justification—at best—for the intentional torture and murder of civilians, including children.
