hands pressed to her hips, erza remained poise and patient. there was irony in being assigned to work with sorano. they were connected by more than just mere circumstance, but by shared suffering. there was hardly a hand full of people in erza’s life that she could say the same for. 

forcing a smile, she eyed her from head to toe. she pushed aside any ill feelings that might be triggered. her voice was stern, yet not absent of kindness,   ❛ hello sorano  .  .  .  i know you must not be thrilled about this arrangement, but i’m glad you showed up. ❜

this could be worse, she could have been paired with someone obnoxious. sorano had been debating for the longest whether or not to actually go through with the terms of the pardoning. it is quite unpleasant having to be bound to a complete stranger for unfathomable amount of time.  

sorano raises an eyebrow, her eyes focusing on the mage. “ a good guy playing the bad guy... i can’t believe the people at avatar fell for your little charade. how did you convince your friends too?” her tone expresses genuine curiosity.

sorano and yukino ( @hearternal ) actually have an older half-brother from their mother’s first marriage. silas is currently 27 years old and took their father’s surname of moon. her father, mitsue and silas had quite a great relationship and they often went on naval trips abroad. silas lost his biological father when he was still an infant and doesn’t remember anything about him. 

when yukino took up the name aguria after moving to fiore. silas decided to keep moon to honor and respect their original home in stella. he didn’t want to forget their family or his then lost sister, sora.
