So, here’s the deal, Jeongguk is actually a pretty decent human. He thinks so at least; he’s never stolen anything, except for that one time he’d picked a peach from his mean neighbour’s garden. He’s never lied, except, of course, white lies, but those don’t really count. He tries being helpful, but sometimes Mrs. Im asks him to help with the groceries when it’s pouring cats and dogs and he pretends to be too busy studying for his chemistry classes. And okay, okay, so maybe he’s not the most decent human out there, but it’s not like he’s a miscreant or anything. 

So, why in the hell, is it that I have to suffer through this torture every fucking day? he thinks following Namjoon’s fluid movements as he stretches between the sofa and the dining table.

Barefeet, leaps off the edge of the pool. Water swirls upward as a body curls into a bawl, settling on the bottom. That’s where you stay for as long as you can.

For some reason, complete silence helps you think. It has been this way since you learned to swim. There, in the deep water–only you and your thoughts. You shouldn’t like being unable to breathe, live in seclusion, speaking to no one. And yet.

You’re not always like this. Namjoon knows that.

The door flung open and he saw you crumpled clothes by the pool. He parameters the edge, saw the distorted image of you there, sitting on the bottom of the pool. In collected and composed manner, he takes off his shirt, leave his boxers on. And jumped in without second thoughts.

Foreign presence. Your eyes snapped open to see Namjoon’s face, so close to yours.

He tilted his head to one side, as if asking.

author’s note: i’m really thankful i got to be a part of the love yourself collab. it wasn’t until i joined and picked this song that i realised just how angsty it actually is! but i still love it all the same. i feel bad for doing my boy dirty and putting him through pain but at least he got a good night in the fallout. this was meant to be up by the end of november but life hit me hard and i’ve only just managed to finish it sooooo. here you go. i’m still super cringe when i write smut so i apologise in advance.

What originally brought Namjoon to the underground was his love of music and the notorious Agust D. Namjoon had first seen the rapper in grainy videos his best friend had shown him between classes at university, and he was immediately entranced. In the early hours of the next morning, Namjoon wakes up next to your body. His first reaction, however, is not what he was expecting. With a scrunch of his nose, he sputters, spitting out your hair from his mouth. Struggling with it, his hand unwraps from your waist as he attempts to push your hair out of his face and towards the opposite direction. Moments later, once completely out of his mouth, Namjoon’s eyes spot your face. It takes him a couple of moments to comprehend the scene before his eyes soften.

Your features are completely serene, eyelids fluttering every now and then as your eyes move under them. Your nose twitches intermittently and your eyebrows knot together slightly on occasion. Briefly, he wonders what you’re dreaming about and whether you’re dreaming of him. He feels your warmth envelop him, your skin slightly tacky against his as you stick to him, your legs entangled with each other; as if you were glued together.

Knowing he probably only has a little while before you wake up, he marginally shifts away from you, so he can further take you in. The moment there is space between your bodies, however, your lips unconsciously pull into a frown before you seek his warmth. Cocking an eyebrow, Namjoon watches you feel around for him. Once your arm makes contact with his chest, you shift closer towards him, curling into his body before letting out a sigh of content.
