In a clear spring with a whisper of a past self slipping from his mind, Leviathan awoke. The only eyes to bear witness to such a monumental event was the blind gaze of the moon, and the gentle caress of the cool spring he was settled in to rest. He stayed that way as the moon lazily walzted along the dark sky. Not moving as he watched the first sunrise of his life, the way inky black lightened into vibrant blue. Above him, a face peers down at him curiosly. The stench of divinity clung to her, some part of the Leviathan thought to be disgusted.
“I’m Egeria,” She says after a moment, glancing at him with a small smile. “Goddess of the rivers and seas. Well, minor goddess of rivers and seas.” Egeria amends herself with a small scrunch of her nose, “It doesn’t have the same ring if I had just said goddess, does it?”
There was a small part of him that balked at the thought of entertaining this goddess. The essence of his being hissing at him that he should end her pitiful existence. It would be easy, he knows, to urge the water which he awoke in to pierce her through the heart. No amount of power she held over the seas of Teyvat could ever surpass his.

Wriothesley hums, laying out on the grass with a stretch. “You’ve played other games right? I know this is your first time using the Akasha but the same principles still apply. Just go over and whack the boar a couple times.”
Heizou grumbles, a couple Inazuman words slipping out. While Wriothesley can hardly be called a linguist, he’s pretty sure at least some of those words were compliments on his teaching prowess.
“Same principle my ass.” Heizou says with a groan, warily watching the boar as he makes his way back over to Wriothesley. Heizou plops down with a grumble, his health bar already in the yellow as he glares at the boar lazily grazing on the grass. “This is not the same as whacking cows in Minecraft. Those cows don’t fight back.”
Wriothesley snorts, grabbing a random apple from his inventory and handing it to the other. “It’s not that hard when you figure it out.”
“It’d be a lot easier to figure out if I had an actual teacher.” Heizou says with a pointed glare, punctuating his dissatisfaction with a crunch of his apple.

“Hey Kaeya,” Venti says. “I’ve been meaning to ask, why do you have a blessing of a sovereign?”
“The blessing of a what now?” Kaeya asks. Venti seems to have been searching for something when Kaeya turns to raise a brow at him. What he was looking for Kaeya has no idea, but he doesn’t seem to find it with the way his brows furrow.
“A Sovereign… Do you actually have no idea what I'm talking about?”
“The only blessings I know of are visions,” Kaeya says slowly. “Is this some,” he waves a hand at Venti in a vague gesture, aware of how the tavern was starting to get more crowded. “That I rather not know about?”
Venti opens and closes his mouth, as if he was trying to formulate his response. “How do you feel about taking a vacation?” Venti asks instead with a smile. Kaeya eyes the god, knowing a forced smile when he sees one.

“Your Grace! Just the man I was hoping to find!” Wriothesley glances where the voice came from, already bemoaning talking with the owner of the voice.
“Monsieur Dougier,” Neuvillette greets the man. “I thought you were out of town?”
“And miss your lovely performance? Madame I would never,” Dougier flatters the singer as he slides into the booth uninvited. “Though I was hoping I could speak to his grace about some important matters,” Dougier says, eyeing Neuvillette with a smile that borders on a sneer. “Important business matters,” Dougier emphasizes, gesturing for Neuvillette to leave with a flick of his hand. His smile strains when Neuvillette doesn’t move.
“By all means, don’t let me stop you,” Neuvillette says lightly, taking a sip of his drink.
“I was hoping we could speak in private,” Dougier says, his brow twitching slightly in irritation.
“The Madame can stay,” Wriothesley says with a sharp look to Dougier. “If this is about taking out a loan, I’m quite pleased to say I’ll have to decline such a generous offer.” Dougier’s face twitches, the man unable to fully mask the displeasure from being turned down for the millionth time.
