oh this is actually a pretty simple explanation! its the same one for the Vanny that appears in Help Wanted 2, which definitely takes place after Security Breach and Vanessa is freed. Vanny is represented DEEP in the AR world, coming to crush Glitchtrap at the end of Princess Quest 4. my thinking is that the personality/alter that became Vanny in Vanessa's head was copied to the VANNI network. Vanessa IS free from control, but that part of her, Vanny, continues to exist within the Pizzaplex's AR network. (it also explains the weird SB ending where there's "two" Vanessas). something something when a VANNI mask plants that chip in your brain, a part of (or copy of) your consciousness--specifically the part that is/was controlled by the mimic virus--is stored in that network sortof like going into the backrooms (but not repeating on itself)
