I hate to post this, but my best friend @vonclosen very suddenly suffered a stroke today and had to be rushed to the hospital, and later life flighted to another hospital because he has a blood clot in his brain.
They've been sick for 8 months at this point, trying to move out of their black mold infested home, hospitalised and unable to work for at least a month now, and were diagnosed with stage 3 (now seemingly stage 4) Lung Cancer just 2 weeks ago. And now the stroke on TOP of all this.
I'm incredibly scared for them and their partner with all that's been going on the past few months. Hell just the past few WEEKS even. They need as much help as they can get.

We’ve only been able to meet in person once, but I don’t know where I’d be without their endless compassion, humor, wit, and all the nights we spent together talking and supporting each other through life’s bullshit.
Any amount helps. The recovery and especially chemotherapy process for something like this is long and arduous. Faust just recently graduated with their bachelor’s, and is one of the most intelligent, persevering people I know. They’re only 28—they have a whole life ahead of them to live.

So Caine knew. The sequence where they were all being tormented by the things that upset them most--ragatha's mother, zooble's body, pomni and jax's dead friends, gangle's face. That confirms it for me. Caine wasn't oblivious to what they hated, he wasn't not listening, he just wasn’t acting. He knew exactly what their worst fears and insecurities were, how to hurt them in the most insidious and cruel ways.. He knew that he was giving them bodies that made them miserable (for Gangle and Zooble especially), then proceeded to intentionally torture them with those bodies directly in the sequence. He showed Ragatha her abuser, preyed on Gangle and Zooble’s dysphoria, Pomni and Jax’s grief…he knows human emotions. He may not understand them but he knows how to inflict them and that he is capable of it and that they are worse than the physical torment he was putting them through. He knew he was triggering them all along in earlier episodes. He UNDERSTOOD. He just acted oblivious and didn’t directly torture them with their fears, until, well...
