So, my first instinct on this was to say, “Shouldn’t Rai already know about tea?”

BUT...!

It really depends on where Rai lived before he went to sleep. If he was in Europe, I did some googling, and it looks like tea wasn’t introduced to that continent until the 1600s, at least. 

Wait, Frankenstein used “our” instead of just the word “my”. I don’t know if I forgot anything related to this (let’s be real, I probably did), but I definitely don’t remember any other servants of Rai besides Frankenstein being mentioned in the first 140 chapters. 

Alrighty, I don’t know if this is ever answered in the manhwa, so I looked it up, and it looks like the series begins in 2010. That means he went to sleep around the year 1190. 

I was first introduced to Noblesse through my sister and the anime, so I don’t really know what my reaction to this reveal would have been if I came across it naturally, but I get the impression it would have sparked some theorizing on their relationship.

Oh no...

When this chapter started I thought it would be way more focused on Shinwoo than it actually was in the end. Instead it focuses on this teacher, who is so far nameless. I’m sure I knew his name at one point, but I don’t remember it. I’ll make a note of it when the manhwa actually does. Shinwoo is really only secondary here.
