'The drawing room at Bridgerton House had always been a place of ease.

It was built for it, light falling generously through tall windows, the arrangement of furniture encouraging conversation rather than formality, the quiet assurance that one could sit, speak, steal macarons, or remain silent without feeling out of place. It was a room that held people gently.

Lately, it had begun to hold them more tightly than intended.

Violet sat near the window, though not as she had in the days before. Then, she had stood often, her attention drawn outward, her thoughts lingering across the square. Now, she remained seated more frequently, her posture composed, her hands resting loosely in her lap, as though stillness might give her thoughts shape.

Tried something new. Grew up watching La Rose de Versailles, and City Hunter, and many more ‘vintage’ animes, and I wanted to try to put it on my drawings.
