I was thinking about Blue and my depiction of them.
Im gonna try my best to explain my thoughts accurately but I'm generally incoherent so
I like to think they're either aware the others think theyre very attractive but are too focused on their work to care, or simply don't notice, as theyre more focused on making sure the crew is safe.
I also like to think that if they'd lived longer, they would've spiraled similarly to how Purple did, just with less wild accusations and more morals similar to that of Brown.
We didnt really get to see how they'd react the type of crisis that is the imposter situation—sure, we know they're very competent in high-stress environments, but that doesn't mean they're at all equipped to deal with aliens that they—before this mission—had no idea existed, but what we do know is that they almost immediately began neglecting sleep in order to figure out what was going on, which sort of shows that theyre willing to disregard their own health for the sake of their fellow crewmates.
I feel like the only thing that really bothers them about the everyone-finding-them-attractive thing is the fact that everyone else on the ship sees them as this perfect person, curated to meet pretty much everyone's taste—even though perfect people don't exist. Blue likely still has flaws, theyre just not obvious at first, and that should be okay, but what can you do with expectations like that?
Which is also why I think in a scenario where they get to live longer, it would be nice to see them become close enough with another crewmate for the other person to see those flaws and stay their friend/partner/whatever, assuring them that they are allowed to be flawed and make mistakes despite expectations.
*I usually use Lime in these situations as I think, being the paranoid bean Lime is, they'd frankly be relieved to know that Blue has some issues (cause there's no way Blue is a naturally-occurring bean if theyre comepletely perfect in every way, right?) However I think this dynamic can be worked into several other crewmates/ships whatever. (It doesn't matter whether its romantic or platonic!)
Ex: Red actively searching for Blue's flaws due to being jealous of their good leadership, Blue and Purple spending enough time struggling and working together to ensure crewmate safety, Cyan simply checking in as the empathetic person they are or the two of them working together to ensure the general wellbeing of the crew.
