soooo... i've been gone huh. and i'm not sure if anyone really noticed. i just figured i owed a bit of an explanation as to why i never actually posted more of the yotp story.

life's been a little rough lately. nothing in particular has happened, but my head has decided to be overwhelmed regardless. and where moomin used to be my medicine, it's not cutting it rn. the hyperfixation has faded, which happens i guess, but i'm sorry to leave a project hanging because of it.

i still intend to finish the yotp story - or at least have it land at a more satisfying point. i just don't know when that will be. sorry about that.

anyway... this old sketch of a contemplative moomin felt fitting for this update haha.

admittedly, I had no idea who Houska was before researching for this piece. I don't speak finnish, so the few clips I could find of her I had to go by visuals only haha. I hope this sort of fits her characterization.

I haven't been drawing these two in a while... but it felt goooood.

my brain has been in other pastures for a while, so I struggled a bit getting in the zone writing the march entry for YOTP. To find inspiration, I took to drawing one of the scenes - and it helped a lot!! I now have a full first draft of the fic. Now I just need to make it good lol
