This past week, I started a new class. I realized I was in a slump. It is called “The Artist’s Way”. I need to get my boots on again. 

 I know it has been a while since I posted and there are many reasons why, but now, I am taking the steps forward to reclaim myself. Over the next 12 weeks, I am going to share with you what I am doing. 

It is time to renew. Try to forget those impact moments from the past year and make new ones. This year, I will reflect on the past year, especially those things that bothered me to this day. I will then get over it and move on. Maybe it won't bother me as much.

I am a positive person. I always, to a fault, look for the good in people. I hope this doesn't change.

To the new year and new challenges.

As my ankle continues to heal, it has been a couple of weeks now that I haven't exercised.Work has kept me busy though, so at least I am moving at a fast pace most days.

My day started with not wanting to get up.

This particular morning...the bed felt so perfect. You know what I am talking about. When the temperature is just right, my position was just right, and all the pillows were in the right place. I was in heaven and could close my eyes and just dream away.

It was 6:23am.

I sat there.

And I continued to sit there not wanting it to end.

Ok

Time to get up.

I am so glad I did. I didn't give in to that wonderful comfy placec of relaxation. I had the best day ahead, that I didn't know until it unfolded.

I went to church, albeit a couple of minutes late *see above*

It was a beautiful service and a great parable talked about in the sermon that I could relate to in my life right now.

Usually, church is a date with my mother. I cherish that and look forward to ceremony and being around an amazing woman. This morning Papa joined us.

We had a very nice lunch, and I took Papa home while Mom went to the grocery. I got to spend an hour or so talking with Papa, uninterrupted about quite a few things.

On the way home, I asked his opinion on the upcoming election and the candidates. And that set the tone. I got to talk, engage, and be with my Dad. It was amazing.

It has been a year since I started this blog. For the past few months, I have not been posting. Main reason, a long distance move and schedule adjustments.
