If you’re tired of people pricing their art at a price YOU don’t feel it’s worth, that’s a you problem, and you’re being an asshole. It hurts literally no one and no thing for an artist to price their art at whatever the fuck they want to. It doesn’t affect you at all whatsoever unless you want to buy their art, and it doesn’t seem like you do. Yes, the art of someone who’s just starting out may not yet be worthy of the prices of someone’s art who’s been at it for years, but that doesn’t mean you get to be a snob about it and decide its only worth pennies. Let artists price their art at whatever they want to. If it’s too much, they’ll learn on their own. Everyone is at a different place in their art journey, and it’s not up to you to decide how much someone’s art is worth. You don’t know the years they’ve put into it, nor all the work and the tears, the tries it’s taken to get it right. What you think is only worth pennies could be worth the world to someone else. It’s not your place to judge and decide. DeviantArt is filled with young artists who are starting out and learning and you could genuinely crush them and kill their desire to ever draw again by saying that shit. Even some artists don’t understand how damaging that is. Your art comes from your heart, and when you’re ready to take criticism, you’ll know and you’ll make that known. Until then, shut the fuck up about how worthless you think it is and the pennies you feel it should cost. Instead of putting artists down, raise them up and encourage them and be kind, and keep your judgey thoughts to yourself.
