It’s kind of nice, isn’t it?
The question already sounds as if the child’s underwater. It starts off as if it’s far away and she’s deep under the ocean, but she’s pulled out. She can hear the woman loud and clear. She’s back on the shore. That’s how she feels. As if this woman had pulled her out. So, Jangmi stops in her tracks, only ankle deep in the water now.Â
“This is the first time,” She admits. “It’s pretty and the water isn’t cold. I thought….” She crouches, dipping her fingers into the ocean, “I thought the water would be cold, but it isn’t.” Jangmi feels like she’s talking too much. She hasn’t talked this much since her father, the general.Â
❝ ... Yeah. I mean, it always seems that way, right? ❞ Candace crosses her arms lightly and thoughtfully, her honey hues looking back at the young girl.
❝ The ocean seems really big, open and cold but... Sometimes, it’s just the opposite. On the shore, anyway, ❞
❝ It sort of feels like the first time visiting the ocean for me, too, though, âťž she starts once more, gaze looking back at the ever-rippling water of the ocean before them.Â
❝ It’s been... A really long time since I’ve seen the ocean or any sort of beach really, ❞
