You sang obnoxiously to the Christmas song on the radio. Hyunwoo’s own voice was the opposite of yours. It was soothing and and amazing, something your voice could never compare to. He held your hands and ran his thumb across the tops of your knuckles.

Christmas was in a week and before things became too hectic because of it, you and your boyfriend decided to take the weekend off to enjoy it to yourselves. Your parents owned a cabin a few hours away from the bustling city of Seoul. They weren’t currently staying there so you and Hyunwoo took advantage of the rare time you had to spend alone.

When the two of you finally made it to the cabin, you were quick to get in to avoid the chilly air outside. The two of you left the bags inside the trunk of the car, claiming that you would pick them up in a few hours when you were accustomed to the cabin.

You and Hyunwoo wasted no time getting things ready. He brought the precut firewood inside the house and you started getting your bedroom ready for the next few days. You rummaged around the drawers and cabinets of the kitchen until you found what you were looking for. Once you found the candles, you rushed back to the bedroom and lit them up carefully, setting them up around the room. You stood back and admired your work.

The room hadn’t been used in a few years, it was dusty and very sad looking. You had found old blankets and a few things that you could use to make everything look more pleasant. The candles only added to it, causing the nice romantic mood lighting that you had hoped for.
