twin i appreciate the sentiment i really do. but you have to understand that i live in a place where transitioning is heavily frowned upon and barely considered a thing .the situation is different amongst young people (glory be to god) but it's still pretty hard to transition and most of all it's a complete social suicide. journalism is dead and the only job i could do that would actually somewhat make it possible to not starve to death w the degree i'm getting is becoming a teacher. or an academic possibily but i'm not THAT smart and academia is corrupted asf. even so, if i want to do this there's no way i can transition.
job problems aside this would completely ruin my relationship with my family. not as in they would kick me out but as in they would send me to a therapist, call it a day and refuse to acknowledge it. i know this because a couple of years ago i vaguely tried to introduce the subject (i flat out told my mom i wanted to be a man) and they were worried as fuck and asked if i wanted to go to a therapist again (also, they asked a lot of private shit about my sexuality to my therapist without ever telling me). i'm not even out as somewhat gay to them even tho they basically know at this point, but if i ever seriously came out as trans they would flat out think i'm crazy
