Everyone these days are searching for this meaningful happiness that everyone keeps bragging about. Does it even exist?

I find myself thinking, am I happy? Will I find this happiness that cannot be contained?

Are we all happy? Or are we pretending and putting on a mask, so other people believe and think that we are happy.

I decided to look up what happy means…

“Happy is feeling or showing pleasure or contentment.”

Hmmmmmm……

Do I feel like that? I do not even know anymore. I feel I have been blinded by social media and what others show as happiness (Yet I cannot stop watching it!). The need to compare my life to theirs is great and never ending. It’s always the same, people showing happiness when they buy an expensive pair of shoes or piece of clothing.

I think to myself; will I be happy if I bought the same pair of shoes or that designer coat? So, I buy the expensive pair of shoes and I discovered the momentary happiness, but it did not last long. And now the pair of shoes sit’s in my cupboard, only worn a few times (Their too pretty, do not want to ruin them).

When I really think about it, this may sound like I am super sad but I’m not. Thinking about it, I don’t think I’m over the top happy but I’m not sad either.

Is there an emotion called neutral? Because if there isn’t, I think it should become one.
