Latinos & Social Media
Growing up on a small farm my parents submerged me in the Latino culture. My family and I had to relocate to the city due to the loss of our home. It wasn't long until I discovered that in the media no one looked like myself even the Spanish actors had fair skin. In today's social media it has changed the way we look at one another, how we engage with each other, and how we view ourselves. Being Latino has changed not only how the political world views our communities but how we as Latinos view ourselves. It is important for any gender and/or race to come together through social media. To show a reflection of themselves without check off boxes instead draw a beautiful picture. The links and images below show how the latino in today's social media.
