Progress. The first is from last night the second from 2 hours ago. I will baste the dresses hem and tomporrow properly hem the second sleeve and ideally insert pockets. There will be much fraying inside but I can't help that given the... 6ish hours I have left to at least make the outside pretty. And I need an adjustable sring in the chemise... I didn't pay enough attention to the neckline and that's the easiest way to fix the problem.

In less than 2 weeks is renfaire in town. And of course I procrastinated until the last possible moment to start sewing. But now I'm working. First: Chemise (100% hand sewn, no machine use inteded). I plan to finish the dress I'll wear over it, too, the rest will be modern clothing since I won't be able to finish the rest in time.

And when I laid out my work from yesterday and today I noticed... The fabric that has now turned into the sleeves and gores... was supposed to be the back/other torso panel... And the rest which was originally supposed to become sleeges/gores is too narrow. of course................................................... Weeeeeeell... fuck. Thank god I have enough fabric left to cut another torso panel. I would not be able to order the same quality of fine linen again as it's not available in the shop.
