feels like it dilutes the term “zionist” when there are extreme and harmful zionists in hollywood that we should be focusing on. again, open to discussion about this because i could be incredibly off base right now. // i want to very gently push back against what you've said here. it's fair/okay to say some zionists are worse than others in the sense that they've openly shared more harmful rhetoric. but zionism/zionist isn't a term you can really water down. zionism means support for israel. that's it. now what that support looks like can be rather broad and what makes it harder for people to spot.

Unfortunately Zionism can go hand in hand with being Jewish as one is a religion and one is a political stance because some Jews believe their homeland is Israel and should have rights to it. If anyone actually cared about the shirt Odessa sold as a teenager to look into it, they'd find her response to it, "I do not support the IDF or Netanyahu in any way! I wish I had known the significance of that shirt when I was a kid, unfortunately I didn't then". which tells me that she, as a Jewish kid, either had family with the belief or Jewish friends with family who had it. She has also publicly supported Palestinians and called for a cease fire in Gaza. I say this as a Jew who was in the situation of being raised in a Jewish house with Zionistic beliefs but I myself do not support said Zionist beliefs. Do more research, would you? This is aimed at certain people, not you Molly.
