A few nights ago, I had a dream in which I distinctly remember a blue-purple flower with a yellow center. I was surprised, as I couldn't remember seeing this flower anywhere recently, if ever. Today, I discovered it on an infograph for flowers that attract pollinators. This variety is Aster laevis Bluebird. Delving deeper, I found that it has a rich history of symbolic meaning, including patience, love, and a wish that past events had happened differently. The flowers appeared, perhaps, as an homage to the many metaphorical deaths I've had to mourn this past year and the patience required to heal.
