To everyone on the outside, Sebastian seems to have it all. He’s on the football team, he has good academics, and he knows he could have any girl or guy with his signature charismatic smirk. He’s not the perfect golden boy, but he’s probably in that guy’s bed.

Sebastian loves attention. When he was 16, he started going out and partying in the hopes of getting a reaction out of his parents. It was at these parties that he met the first- and if he has anything to say about it, then last- boy to break his heart. Jason was 22 and a college student. Although the college part was mostly an excuse so he could sell weed on campus.

After Jason cheated on him repeatedly, the younger boy tried to cut things off. That’s when a drunk Jason informed him that he had multiple tapes of them having sex which he would post online. Sebastian wasn’t sure if Jason was telling the truth or not, but he ended things anyway and nothing ever came of the tapes.

These days Sebastian doesn’t do boyfriends, they are strictly hook ups. He thrives off one night stands. His father has expressed disgust at Sebastian’s promiscuous behaviour, but he doesn’t say anything. Instead, he simply throws money at him to keep him happy and out of trouble. Sebastian takes complete advantage of this, wasting his father’s money with complete disregard.

Sebastian likes to throw huge parties and likes being surrounded by people he knows, or even doesn’t know. Most importantly he likes drinking and getting high because that’s when he can disconnect. For some time he can forget about Jason, his father, and getting his best friend kicked off the football team. Perhaps that’s why Sebastian got into drugs as well. It makes for a nice break from reality and he can have fun without over-thinking.

Sebastian knows the only way to gain people’s respect is money, and he plans to make a lot of it. Sure, his academics aren’t perfect, but they’re not bad either. If you combine them with football, lacrosse, and photography, he’s pretty well rounded on paper… that is, assuming he doesn’t get kicked out for his drug use.

David and Renata Harper, originally from Dallas, Texas, should never have had a child, let alone two. Their lives were ruled by religion – a very unhealthy amount of it, and some very backward views.

There was always a certain standard expected of Dani; she was supposed to be a perfect, proper little lady, so it sucked for them that she was anything but. From a young age, Dani was a tomboy through and through. She was enrolled in ballet classes, where instead of joining in with the others, she could be found in a corner somewhere, sliding on her knees and playing air guitar. Her parents were less than impressed.

One thing that did manage to impress them was her angelic singing voice. Dani would be made to sing upfront in church choir, an activity she always loved. Singing was a passion for her, though not the only one.

Something else Dani always loved was art. She could put a pen to paper and draw up a beautiful image, no matter what that image may be. Her skills only progressed as she grew older.

The Harper family moved from Dallas to Mohrsville during the summer before Dani’s sophomore year, just as everything was going down with the missing cheerleader. Her dad, a cop, was thrown into the case, which kept him off Dani’s back, at least, and she had a slight bit more freedom.

Dani had figured out her sexuality before she even knew what “gay” was. She knew she was attracted to females, but also knew her parents – and their church – considered such a thing a sin, so although Dani has always been proud of who she is, and is very much out as far as her her friends and those she trusts, her parents have no idea. She’ll tell them one day, but she isn’t ready to lose her family just yet, no matter how crazy they may be.

Writing down her feelings in journals was the start of Dani’s songwriting obsession. She now has notebook after notebook filled with original songs, all that she hopes to release someday when she makes it as a big star, but right now it’s just Dani in her bedroom with her guitar, singing away to herself.

To fit with Dani, I have it that Dahlia has been in Mohrsville, she just hasn’t been in mainstream schooling up until now due to her acting career, despite the subplot stating she should’ve only been there a month. Dahlia has spent her entire life in the spotlight. It was really just a right place, right time kind of thing for her; she was discovered as a baby in a stroller by a casting agent looking for a doll-like little girl for a new sitcom. It was just she and her mom that day, her sister home with her father, and Dahlia seemed to completely fit the bill.

The Harper family, originally from Dallas, Texas, have never been exactly well off. Dahlia’s parents, Renata and David, both incredibly religious people, owned a poorly run meat farm, and Dahlia’s new life in front of the camera served as their meal ticket.

With the money Dahlia made from her screen time, they were able to afford better for themselves and their family, though money definitely does not buy class nor manners, and both David and Renata remained their very backward, religious, homophobic selves. Except now they had a child in the spotlight, and they thrived on the income and attention.

Moving to California was just the right thing for them to do, especially when Dahlia started receiving auditions and roles for bigger projects. A lot of attention was put on her, and she was trained in dance, voice and acting; the latter two her favorites, though she begun to develop bigger interests as she grew.

Dahlia went on to star in movies, both big and small screen. She was signed by Disney, who helped put her name only further on the map. Her name was well known and Dahlia was recognized. Since she’d grown up in the spotlight, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for her, and being a very laid back, friendly person, she always managed to remain humble.

While she did adore both acting and singing – writing songs became a forte for her, too – Dahlia found a deep interest in art. The kind on paper, not on camera, and a trip to a local tattoo and piercing parlor taught her that she wanted to follow a whole new path.

Due to her busy work schedule, mainstream schooling has never really been a thing for Dahlia. She dealt with on-set tutors and such, but the new dream is college, because Dahlia wants more than anything to pursue art, to learn and hone her talent as much as she can, and she desperately wants to go to college, something she feels she’ll have a better chance at with an actual high school diploma.

Taking a break from the screen, Dahlia has been enrolled in the same school as her twin sister for the past month, and she’s finding the adjustment much easier than expected – though, being as friendly as she is, maybe it isn't that unexpected. She has also begun helping out in a local tattoo studio, the regular clients growing more and more used to having a “celebrity” drawing up their designs by the day.

Dahlia considers sexuality fluid, though knows her homophobic parents would never go for such a thing. While exploring her self-proclaimed fluidity, Dahlia is trying to work up the courage to come out to her parents, because she knows she has a big, public platform, and she wants to be able to use it, to become an influential member of the LGBTQ+ community and to help others who may be struggling to tell those they love, too.*
