he'd been working on it for weeks, finding ways to spend more time with you in the time. for starters, he'd gotten your cafe order memorized from seeing you at jaehyun’s workplace while he visits, the barista helping him with learning how to make it (though he messed up a few too many times—jaehyun just told him to leave it to him by the 5th try, to simply focus on doing what he's better at (aka music making)). he also knows what flowers you like now, sungho stepping up to help him with making a bouquet for the special day. also, his attempts at "coincidentally" bumping into you at the dog park as he watched you play with your little pomeranian are too obviously planned as he awkwardly walked riwoo's puppy every time, always unsure about how to take care of the little creatures.

both taesan and leehan help him too, doing so by working on the most important parts of executing the lovesick boy's plan. all 3 of them work together as woonhak's vision of what should be a song worthy of you comes to life through several days of songwriting and producing. and the poster? he wasn't sure just how much you'd like it, but he loves what his taesan hyung made for the day!

the day finally comes with the boy standing outside your house, the sun glaring into your window as you hear a faint tune to woonhak's voice playing outside. you blink through the glass as you focus your eyes on him, sunglasses adorning his face as he held up a poster reading ‘BE MINE?’ with... questionable strokes. but the bouquet that was on top of the radio player looked too beautiful, wrapped in a white? light blue? wrapping paper, a huge bright blue ribbon keeping the flowers together.

you could almost laugh at woonhak's commitment to preparation, simply in awe of how he always managed to show his charming boyish side that initially made you also fall for him. opening the window, you heard the words of the song more clearly: mm mm my playlist now, are you free on friday?

"YES!" you yell back, answering both the questions at once, though he just assumed it was in response to what he held, the main question he had.

"REALLY?" he yelled back, a bit shocked but also glad that he wasn't wrong about the signals you sent to him through the several hangouts before this very day. you nod as you keep watch, your head falling back in laughter as he ran around the road, screaming in joy as he barely held onto the poster paper.

and well, the neighbors... they may complain about his lack of awareness of his surroundings, but who cares about that when he finally got you, right?
