TSRW mesh Import/Export addon for Blender 2.81 - 2.83.9 (updated & combined version)
While working in Blender with TSRW addons, I noticed that the application would sometimes throw confusing errors when importing or exporting certain types of WSO meshes.
To address this, I combined the original WSO import and export scripts into a single addon and implemented several fixes to improve stability when working in Blender.
This addon is intended for working with WSO meshes used in TSR Workshop, compatible with Blender 2.81 up to 2.83.9!

Supports WSO v6 format (same as the original)
Cleaner integration while importing/exporting WSO meshes

Fixed vertex color handling (now properly averaged per vertex)
Added safer fallback for missing UV layers (prevents crashes)
Ensures exactly 4 bone weights per vertex (WSO compatible)
Handles missing vertex colors safely
Removed debug spam from console
Improved error handling when writing files

Prevents duplicate/overlapping faces
More stable face creation (no crashes on bad geometry)
Safer vertex color assignment
Improved UV layer handling (supports multiple UV sets better)
Added protections against invalid data / index errors

Installation:
Installation is the same as for any other Blender addon. Before installing, make sure to uninstall any previous WSO addons and clear the addon cache from Blender’s AppData folder.

"testingcheatsenabled true" then "forcehud" i was told this cheat would bring me back to live mode but instead it actually takes you to edit town as if you were just starting a new save or you wanted to switch families, and that's what you have to do, simply select your household to play and jump back in. Medieval Essentials set
Medieval Essentials is a functional set made for immersive medieval gameplay. Instead of decorating just one room, this collection reimagines modern necessities in a way that keeps their gameplay purpose without breaking the illusion of living in another era.
The kitchen includes a pantry that works as a fridge, counters, modular wall shelves, a stove, a table island, a sink, and a bucket-trashbin. Everything functions off the grid, so your Sims can cook and store food the old-fashioned way.
The bathroom offers simple hygiene essentials: a rudimentary toilet, a basket-style sink for washing, a shower with a hanging cruche, and a privacy screen.
For scholars and scribes, the set also includes a scriptorium area with a desk, chair, and writing station that functions as a computer (so the animation and sounds will be weird, sorry 😝). It’s the only item not off-the-grid, as custom tuning is not in my skills. Bookshelves, scroll shelves, and a working off-the-grid candle complete the scholarly corner, alongside a grand tapestry inspired by authentic patterns.
And for Eco Living DLC owners, a windmill and a well help generate electricity and water. Because even medieval Sims deserve utilities ⛲

Something I have put off for way too long! 😏🪴
MODS I AM WORKING ON ATM:
- A Medieval (GOT) career pack/collection which will hold all the different careers/jobs people had in those times. Also adding new books for these careers, opportunities and events.
- Nraas Tuning for several different Nraas mods to function as a truly medieval world structure. Stuff like castes and how sims behave from different castes. Think Peasants, Nobles, Monarch families. Which careers they can or cannot get assigned. Who their boss is.. like for The Hand of the King/Queen it should be the King or Queen.
- Trying to make more Medieval style traits. Like Illiterate. Don’t know if it’s going to be a trait or do it another way.
- I will look into Zerbu/Sonya’s Ultimate careers to see if I can add several functional mod objects to the list of objects that make job performance go up. Like woodcutting, whittling, functioning well, hunting all those type of things. If anyone has any idea on how to go about this, please let me know!

S3SS 1.5.0 - Illuminated Setter
Woo! Multiple new patches and a big revamp/patch to the games lighting system!
New stuff:
Startup Warning Dialog Fix - Fixes a dialog that either fails to be created or fails to appear and causes the game to look like it's black screened, made by "Just Harry".
^ This and the CPU Optimization and Expanded Crash Log patches are now enabled by default (thank you Swiffyjk for this and some banger readme changes!!)
Disable Store Featured Items Download - Blocks the game from downloading the featured store items listing, preventing thumbnail downloads into the FeaturedItems folder.
Uncompressed Compositor Textures - Forces material compositor textures to use uncompressed A8R8G8B8 instead of DXT1/DXT5. Similar to the Sim Textures patch but for other things, DXVK is recommended to avoid memory issues.
Lighting Quality Patch - Improves interior lighting: higher lightmap resolution, softer shadows, blur and a janky multisampler that might be worse than the default but I spent too long on not to ship it. Highly recommend playing with the various lighting settings in the settings tab alongside this as you can DIY your own lighting mods and lighting is fun and neat and cool. I would recommend turning drop shadows off at least as I find they look really gross.
The last three are experimental patches, they'll graduate into proper patches eventually.
Updates/Changes:
Update to smooth patch precise with help from LazyDuchess!!!, a few things tweaked and a new option to only tick at most once per frame.
Intersection optimization patch removed (RIP), this wasn't a wise patch to begin with and ended up breaking a few things (was faster because it just threw out half of its calls)
That's all! S3MM soon etc. etc. I will probably expand on the lighting patch as I had "fun" working on it, I'd also like to mess w/ the diffuse and specular probes/system for crispy reflections etc.

How To Make a Mood Mouse
I posted this on Reddit yesterday, and it seemed like everyone loved it! So I wanted to put together a tutorial for anyone who wants to try it out!
I saw a reddit post last year that never left my mind. Someone had made the mouse lights sync with their Sims mood! I knew right away that I needed to do that, and after some digging, I found the same mouse (I think) from that post!
But no one seemed to know how or even if it would sync with a specific part of the screen. I even messaged the original redditor, but they haven't been active for some time now. So I wasn't sure if it would actually work or not.
But, one year later, I finally gave in and bought the mouse nonetheless! Whether it worked or not, I needed a new mouse, and I couldn’t pass up this opportunity.
After some trial and error... it syncs! It's not perfect (it turns slightly blue when the bar drops low, but not low enough to trigger yellow), but still, I'm so happy with it!

It took me long enough, but I made a guide for CAW for those of you who always wanted to try to build your own worlds for Sims 3 but never knew where to start. And for those of you who tried but got frustrated because information is hard to find, outdated or just doesn’t cover what you were looking for.

Hi Anon! I mainly use Amelie Serene 2.0 and neecxle bohodreams. I do edit them and add adaptive sharpness and mxao etc to my liking. 🪴🤍

Converted these items a while ago but figured I could finally release them now that I have almost the entire set :p Also yeah got lazy with the preview once again so here's a slightly edited version using the original previews hehe
>All items are fully recolorable, some have a slight wooden texture from the original objects but it's subtle.
>Everything is low poly but the full polycount list can be found under the cut as usual.

Patches:
New "Smooth Patch Precise" rewrite. The tick-rate limiter has been fully replaced with a hybrid sleep/busy-wait implementation. Default tick-rate raised to 480. Preset values changed to 480/960 (multiples of 60) for potentially smoother frame-pacing. Now includes a frame-rate limiter. Can be safely toggled on/off at any time now also
New Oversized Thread Stack Fix. Reduces memory wasted by the game's file-watcher threads. The game creates several dozen of these with oversized 1 MB stacks when they need less than 64 KB. Saves ~80-170 MB depending on your setup
Expanded crash logging patch. Adds detailed access violation info (memory state, protection flags, read/write/DEP), S3SS version, and a full virtual memory statistics breakdown to TS3s crash logs. Please enable this when reporting crashes (may become a default later)
Experimental GC_try_to_collect removal from Simulate. Should improve Simulate calls/s quite dramatically. May increase memory usage

With this program, what was difficult becomes a little, or rather, five times easier. It will generate the complete mod project for you to put in your S3PE.
