Currently prototyping a sort of “hurt mode” for the game to promote better synergy between the characters. Get hit by an enemy and you’ll have to break free before time runs out, else it’s game over. Still a few gameplay kinks to work out, but I’m happy with the look so far. It’s a bit like how health works in Yoshi’s Island - the black sludge acts as a health visual and will gradually dissipate over time. I have a few plans for some abilities tied to it in the future, but this is a good start for now…
