the concept of mj falling in love with peter all over again after bnd and the spell breaking and giving her her memories back

like the concept of her falling in love with him again being the catalyst for her memories coming back is just too good.

also to me personally it is so clear that they’re endgame and i’m so excited to see where they go with it. like as painful as it is it makes total sense that she’s not going to be in love with him after only having known him for a day and without her memories. BUT every scene they have together or relating to each other makes it clear that she will. like the connection and chemistry they immediately have is just insane and it really shows how much they understand each other and how perfect they are for each other even without memories and after four years apart. she’s so clearly intrigued and as much as it’s too early for her to be in love with him she clearly feels something for him even if she can’t explain why. even just the parallel of them at the end where they’re both sitting alone and she’s at their spot with the necklace makes it feel so clear that this is the direction they’re going in. like give me a real version of that rooftop reunion scene in spiderman 5. just imagine they’re rebuilding a relationship and getting to know each other again and she’s slowly falling for him again and the moment she admits it to him and kisses him is what brings her memories back. i just love the idea of them getting to fall for the current and past versions of each other simultaneously.

like when edits have been popping up today i’ve been checking to see how new they are so that i can save them for later and scroll but it’s 2am and i’ve been safe until now and unthinkingly hit comments to see how old it was instead of the profile🫠

i don’t actually know how much of a spoiler it was bc it was vague and i immediately closed out the app and didn’t even finish watching the tiktok but now i’m fearful for the emotional state i’m about to find myself in

and if i said i think a perfect buildup to this and the scene of him coming to find her after bc she’s in danger would be peter having recurring nightmares of her falling off the statue of liberty and not being able to save her in the days leading up to this sequence?

i also think her still being put in danger even with peter not keeping his promise to keep her safe is perfect, and should be a catalyst for him deciding to tell her and ned the truth. especially with one of the major themes of the movie being the importance of community and how unhealthy it is to isolate yourself from the people you love in the way he has. like him coming to the realization that staying away from her doesn’t automatically keep her safe. especially if they have a heart to heart where she opens up and talks to him about feeling like something is missing/isn’t right and he realizes she remembers all her interactions with spider-man and he realizes that not only is she not safer without him she’s also not happier without him and his whole reasoning for staying away falls apart.

my other thought is that during this whole sequence there should be a moment like when she falls in nwh where she is actively in danger and he is able to save her this time to round out the whole arc. personally i think that is what’s happening in that behind the scenes footage of him webbing/hugging and swinging her around. bonus points if him saving her or her seeing him in the suit without the mask brings her memories back. personally I think he should tell her everything himself first, maybe when he comes through the window to get her to come with him, and then later on she gets her memories back after one of these scenarios.
